I think everyone enjoyed the win. The question needs to be asked why after great win, all the talk and cameras need to be focussed on donuts. The club should be bigger than the individual. The fact that we've become ken Hinkley FC is part of the problem.

The funny thing is it’s only really 2 blocks. That’s the single worst umpiring decision I have ever seen. There is literally not an infringement of any rule that has occurred and if there is by some bizarre clause that I am unaware of, there would be 1000 free kicks a week.

Negativity like yours is really damaging to what should be a great day for us. No reflection, no flexibility, just pedal to the metal attacks on Hinkley.
it was a great win last night but the issue I have is our improvement happens in spite of Hinkley not because of him.

you might be happy with seeing a few home and away wins, but the rest of us want a flag. until donuts can do that, he is rightfully attacked because no one has ever had as many chances as he has to make a grand final, in the history of the sport.
just a few years ago we were 11-4 and missed the finals.
ken doesn't get credit for bombing us so badly last year that we went from top 2 twice in a row to missing finals again. you don't get to constantly reset the bar so that making finals is a high achievement.
10 years. no flags.

those are the stats that matter. when he does something that matters we'll give him some credit. history says he won't.
If there was one thing I'd love to know it's whether Hinkley agreed that going to the draft to get Rozee, Butters and Duursma was the right thing to do. Because up until that moment he was only interested in getting established players like Ryder and Dixon. I always wondered whether he got overruled.

because it was minor physical contact worth a free kick and nothing else. if boak didnt come into the season with a pre-existing injury he would have bounced right up.
if one of our players got weeks for that, you'd be spewing. try to be objective.
That is a different storey. Of course we want flags but surely we can also enjoy wins when they come along.

Here is the stat that matters for this thread. We won a hard fought game with several key players missing, in shocking conditions against the odds with displays of individual brilliance and bravery across the field.
It was a game no one gave us a chance to win, including many in this thread. A win for the ages in prime time national TV.
If you can't just enjoy the morning after a win like that then you need to follow a different sport.
Last night was the first time this season I have shouted at the TV with delight. Usually its just at the umpire in disgust. And then they spoilt it when the siren went showing the tosser dancing around like an idiot show pony.
You can still support the club and say that Hinkley is a joke and should be sacked the 2 aren't mutually exclusive despite what Donuts and his sycophants think.

Telling perhaps was that in the post match interview, Butters thanked Carr for his development and improvement as a midfielder , was quite expansive in his praise, he then went on later to thank Hinkley as an after thought. Perhaps something in that to ponder for the future and as to our improved form?
