Neale and McCluggage both doing some nice things but nowhere near as instrumental as usual. Taylor (unlucky just rushed too much) and Linc both doing a lot of good things around the ground. Keays applying himself and going hard at it which I’m loving. Much better 2nd quarter and if we continue to improve as we have I see us running out blazing this next quarter

Once again we should be well in front but just lack polish .Two certain goals just went begging then they sweep it away and get one after they couldn't get the ball.

It's pretty much unwatchable for a Lions supporter . How we go in a goal behind here is a mystery.

Let's hope we have plenty left in the tank.

Hawthorn aren't all that good but have capitalised on every opportunity

Young Hippy, when he is down he try’s to impart himself on the contest in an attempt to get in the game which I like however in doing so gives away to many silly free kicks. It’s a fine line, he needs to find away of fighting though form slumps without giving away these frees. It happened last week also.

Gee.. we are without doubt the most frustrating team in the history of sport. Do so much right but just psychologically do not believe we have the right to own contests.

So much waste, so little composure. Lewy has been great. Keays tries but I just can't see him becoming a composed, mature, worthwhile AFL footballer.

We should win this game, but you just know that its not going to be easy.

People saying Fagan has no plan B arn't watching our games. Corridor, boundary, possession, man on man or zone depending on opponent, trying different structures and players in different positions. One of our strengths this year has been the ability to adjust in games and reset at the breaks.

Along with our behinds. We had Lewys knee, Keays smoother, Hipwood smoother which led to a rebound goal and Zorkos non goal because of Hipwoods free. So much of the play and a total psychological block when it comes to putting the ball through the goal posts.

We've won contested ball I'm thinking without looking at the stats.

My missus knows not a lot about footy and said geez the umpiring's terrible tonight isn't it.

Hippy has all the tools he just needs more composure.

McCarthy has been good ,Taylor good ,highlighting that we need more outside run . Andrews good. Stef good. Zorko excellent.

At the moment the forward line is a worry. Who is going to score for us. Lewy is going good but others need to stand up. Have concerns.

Are you thinking Cutler maybe? for outside run? 😉

Robertson has no composure and Keays has showed why he won't make it, has spent all that time in the NEAFL and still has no right foot

2 terrible ins.

Keays and Taylor were taking the piss late in the quarter then. We really do find new ways to waste chances hey?

We should be in front.

Two incidents stick in my mind.

Keays butchering the kick on goal, especially when Cameron was open in the goal square.

But the first incident was about half way through the second quarter when the ball was on our half forward flank, loose on the ground and Rich waited outside of a two (Hawks) on one (Lion) contest, and instead of going in to help at the contest, he waited outside, the Hawks cleared the ball and marched it down field for a goal.

I've been very impressed with Rich this season, but he should have gone in and put his head over the ball.
