RICHMOND

The Lions put the foot to their Tigers collective throats, and didn't let up until the final siren.
The Tigers conceded six goals in the first 20 minutes, and were never really in the contest. So much so that the Lions kicked the first 10 goals before Noah Balta slotted the Tigers' first.
Mykelti Lefau copped a nasty knock to the jaw trying to mark, whilst Rhyan Mansell copped one to the head from his own captain, continuing to add to the Tigers' woeful injury list.
Rioli and Prestia tried hard in the guts, but there was really no chance they were going to get much done.
Another night to forget. Those flags seem like a lifetime ago.

BRISBANE 26.7 163
def.
RICHMOND 6.8 44

RICHMOND BEST:
Rioli, Prestia, Dow, Brown
RICHMOND GOALS: Cumberland 2, Mansell, Lefau, Coulthard, Balta

ESSENDON

A very weird game, where it felt as though we didn't really bother playing until the third term.
Todd Goldstein was absolutely belted in the middle by Xerri, who gave it to Luke Davies-Uniacke on a plate. We were smacked out of the middle, but due to North's woeful forward-line and back-line, that is about as far as it got.
That makes it 11 straight wins against the little brother.
Darcy Parish injured his calf again, so we had a chance to see Perkins and Caldwell run through the guts together a little more, which was hugely beneficial for Archie especially.
We were just too strong in the air, winning the contested mark count 14-2, whilst marking it inside 50 18 times to their 9. Thank you, Ben McKay and Peter Wright.
Matt Guelfi is proving to be an extremely efficient small forward; whilst he doesn't get a ton of the footy, he's hitting the scoreboard and providing a ton of pressure around the contest.
Peter Wright was given a debutant in Wil Dawson, and absolutely gave him a bath.
Aidan Corr absolutely blanketed Kyle Langford, and totally nullified his influence right up until the very end when Kyle slotted a single major.
Clarkson is a little racist homophobe midget ass.
Lol Norf.

The Tigers list has been utterly decimated by injury, and their confidence is completely shot. This, as an Essendon fan, is the definition of a danger game. The Tigers totally dominated us for the best part of a decade, and we shouldn't lose sight of that. We played one quarter of decent footy last week and came away with a 40 point win, but we need to put together a full performance from start to finish.

We need to prove to ourselves that we can be ruthless and efficient. This Tigers side is absolutely ripe for the picking. Through no fault of their own, it has to be said.

Essendon by 74.

Is there a reason Richmond have come in quite a bit with the betting agencies?
Essendon fans getting their safety bets on.

That way, we’re happy if we lose, and happy if we win.
