Why 18 and not 19 or 20? Only 2 teams missing, not 6. And they were going to be 2 of the 6 teams with the bye next week so everyone has already set up their teams in anticipation of Hawks and GC having the first bye. If they made it best 20 I would be surprised if any coach in the top 5k would cop donuts.

Idk, ask Tim Mitchell & Al Paton.

Say goodbye to your super POD Touk Touk owners, he and Titch are gonna be hot property next week. Lucky it's Hawthorn and Gold Coast, only a few sc relevant players, Titch, Impey, Kosi, Touk, Farrar. Imagine if it was dogs vs dees :O
I was deeply concerned when the Dogs went in to quarantine.

I was all set to trade him this week but holding is an interesting proposition now.
IF the game is postponed. Seemed Tom Morris went early - who would have thought?

Touk Miller
  • 25 years old, season 7
  • First five seasons averaged between 73 and 89
  • Last year 106 in shortened games - so very hard to judge how much was a real improvement and how much came from the premo boost that many topliners had last year
  • This year 3 times in the first 5 rounds he was under 100. Countered by 4 games over 130. A fair bit of variance there. Has been really good in his last 4 and is clearly still improving as a footy player.
So he's definitely improved from the SC player he was in 2019. But how much has he improved? To accept he's a guy who now will average 110 (or close to) over a full season, you are looking at a massive jump from a level that had reached in his first five years.

I'm far from convinced he's a Superpremo. Just not enough evidence. How much would he need to be priced for me to take the risk of buying him as a keeper? Not sure but I do know it's a fair bit less than $597k. I think he's hit a hot streak in his last 4 games and his true SC scoring level over time will be somewhat below Superpremo level.

Be interested in others views. I haven't watched much of the Suns play this year so I have no idea about role changes etc.

He used to tag but does not appear to be doing that anymore?

I might skip Heeney and double downgrade instead (or just single downgrade)
Save the money for ToukTouk next week.
Might also take a punt on Wingard, since more trades at some stage is inevitable.

Become a leader and doesnt tag as much, right age bracket too, yes 3 games sub 100 is an issue in first 5 rounds but been great since then and definitely worth a look.

He doesnt need to be a SP though, next week he will have 12 games left so if he averages 110 he will contribute the same total points as an 11 game 120 average guy whilst lessening the chance of a donut between 12 and 14.

Good points. That said the extra game is useful but you're not replacing a zero if your planning is sound and you don't have a calamity with injuries - presumably it's replacing a 70 or 80 from a good rookie with 110 from Touk.

Seeing everyone getting Miller

I don’t want him as much now
Defeats the purpose if everyone jumps on

Will wait and see what happens with the rest of the announcements regarding games this weekend but at this stage the new trades will be

Bergman jordon
To
Whitfield Heeney

next week
Flynn to reeves (if named) will be so easy seeing teams with the hawks now playing round 12
Warner to touk if I still feel it.

Was so excited to bring king touk in this week too which is the first time in a long time a fresh pick has done that. Will go up to 5% easily if not 10% with this new bye and understandably so. The taggers have become elite supercoach scorers now
Guthrie Steele Miller all now gun sc’ers!

This year he is averaging 29 touches, 15 of those kicks.

Previous his highest average is 22 in both 2019 and 2018, but only 9-10 kicks. So he’s getting it 7 more times with 5-6 of those being kicks. Tackles also up this year. Not sure on his contested ball numbers or DE%

You are probably not getting in him in lieu of a 120 average guy in all honesty, but on current averages if you traded zerrett to him you would be 200 points minus the 18th best scorer in round 13 better off. With all the midfielders out that round that score will be closer to 50 than 80, i dont really have much faith in the rookies tbh. You would have to be ballsy enough to do that in rd 12 when zerrett is playing to get the full benefit of the move.

Edit: Taranto is a much better example than zerrett as he has bye in rd12
