OK looked at all the options ......go conservative or aggressive

Talk me out of this
Brodie Smith to Hinge (D6)
Stack to Kelly

Smith, 3 x round average 77 and will lose $$$$ from here

Stack 3 x round average 67 and stagnant in price

Takes 2 x R14 players out, but leaves me in :poo: for R13 ......so I have 2 weeks to correct this
Round 13 is a campaigner

Back to serious stuff, thinking I might hold this week and possibly even next.
Rd 12 looks good, and can use 3 trades in Rd 13 (Brayshaw -> sexy Robbie, Brouch --> Macrae, net -$100k) and 14 (ROB -> Grundy, Duursma --> Hurn, net -$530k) to sail through those.

Only maybe Westhoff to Fort depending on JS, to build $$ (net +$250k)

Any thoughts (apart from my delusional ones) are welcomed.

Surely you can put a bit more work into your backline and midfield before grabbing Robbie though? Sure Greene and Westhoff are inconsistent, but they'll play every week they're fit.

Baker looks somewhat wasted on the pine if everyone plays too imo, you'll need him for the byes, but he looks a bit luxury at F7 at the moment considering the subpremiums nestled in your midfield and backline. He's my F6 and doing a sterling job there (aside from round 9 where he stunk it up).

In order of priority

You need Grundy now if possible, waiting after his bye could = 50-100k more as he's got two monster scores rolling through right now, that 165 will roll out on his bye and I'd imagine that'll be his peak price for the season then

Witherden won't be a top defender and Smith won't be too, defence is a very high scoring position with a lot of options averaging north of 95 who you don't have, like Laird, Stewart, Rich, Hurn, Houli etc, so I'd try and bring these guys in through the byes if possible. I'm looking at Hore to Sicily on his bye for example, that's looking like a very cheap upgrade. If I'm lucky I'll go Smith to Hurn on his bye too, but might not be able to afford it, so will sit on that one for now.

Through the byes getting Brayshaw off your ground in your best 22 is a must too, be it via upgrading or have a plan in place for him to be M9.

Unfortunately I'd imagine you won't have enough trades to get the right mix in every position in your completed side, so I'd try and grab best available at the right price.

My midfield is similar to yours with the subpremium types, I've got Rocky, Libba, Walsh and Brayshaw at M4-7, but my forwards and backs are pretty solid though, only really Mundy and Hurn who I really want who I don't have and will find it hard to bring in due to cost, so Sicily/Daniel look next best options in that regard who'll be affordable too.

Haha ROB is about to outscore Westhoff for the season, from 2 less games :tearsofjoy:

And to think I was annoyed when I passed on the spud and he pulled a 108. Since then he's gone 41, 72 and 71 for a three round ave of 58 :poo:

Plenty of folk on the Port board calling for Westy to either move to a wing or move out of the side completely.
As long as Bewley plays that week, happy ******* days

Hore to Sicily

Try and grab Daniel or Zerrett too if I can

You want to downgrade Hore? He's outscored Sicily over the last 4 weeks.

Can/will Hore continue to outscore Sicily for 12 more weeks though?
Realistically no, but I'll be holding Hore for as long as possible, with a hope of making him my D7. However, if Frawley misses games it means Sicily has to play more of a key defender, which kills his scoring. I have Sicily myself.

I also have both. Am keeping Hore for D7

I don't think I'd be ok with giving up 40+ points every week not having Grundy.
Based on what I got ROB for, and what I gained using those $ elsewhere, I think I did OK.

Now the gap is close enough, time to close it.

Must say i simply don't understand the Robbie Gray fascination.

1 ton from 7 games. Averaging 78, coming back from injury with his last four scores being 72, 45, 54 and 89.

A real must have

Due to the crap rookies most of us are struggling for cash gen so we cant afford the most expensive premos.

Hes a proven scorer and a good F7/M9 option at that price.

this is outstanding hahahah

(AND IF THIS ******* campaigner MISSES ANOTHER WEEK FOR A BIT OF A ******* SORE HIP, HE CAN HIP HIP HOORRAAYYYYY OUT OF MY GOD FORSAKEN TEAM !! **** HIM. NEVER AGAIN. WEAK AS PISS)

This will be the very last time I ever pick a POD again. He was the sole POD I picked but never ever get them right and they always have to **** me over. Anyone thats gloats about their awesome pods can eat 50 dicks

Who has the luxury to keep Hore as D7
Would love to keep Hore but he's becoming Sicily in round 13 to fix my byes. Hopefully only costs $50k (or less!)

The next 2 weeks will give us a better idea if Hore is a final D6 upgrade or potential D7 option with Lever back.

Hore 2nd in AFL for intercept marks per game currently - might drop with Lever back in the team.

Lol and Sicily has outscored Hore in the last 5 and 6 weeks...

5 x 100, 2 x 90, 2 x 80 + a 75 = 99 average for the season and will bottom out after this week

But sure, it's a "downgrade" because someone tonned up for the first time in their career on the weekend to inflate that average

The only way I'm holding onto Hore after his bye is if he vastly outscores Brodie Smith the next two weeks
Can/will Hore continue to outscore Sicily for 12 more weeks though?
Only if Sis gets a supercoach season ending injury again I'd imagine...

Lever and May to return eventually will see Hores intercept numbers a little down plus Salem didn't play on the weekend allowing Hore to take kick ins, so the right role to score well was available for him imo on the weekend

There are so many great and clever trades I'd like to make through the byes. Strategic upgrades, picking up fallen premos after their bye, really great stuff that'll fix my team.

Unfortunately I have (&^#*%&$ no money. Can someone spot me, say $500k?
