Round 11 Trades

Anyone with a bit of help?

mate, it really depends on whether you need a bit of spare cash to upgrade elsewhere or not.

If your happy to buy the best available player at that price i would look no further than Bock. Likely to be in the top few defenders regarding average from here on in IMO.

Nah cash isn't an issue, once i do this trade and trade gamble to Roo i'll be set.
Bock it is.

2 trades 2 come this week,

WON> :
Armfield?
Selwood?
Grimes?
Kennedy?

Then,

Stanton> :
Black?
Goodes?
Kirk?
Cooney?
Pendlebury?
Goodwin?
Bartel?

Money will be no problem(i jst cant get gablett),

Points:
- If i wanna save some money, wuld look at bartel, goodwin, black, goodes
- Avg wise, wuld look at cooney, goodwin, black, bartel
- least <100 scores, wuld look at goodes, cooney, goodwin
- Injury worries/proneness, black
- thier team overall, wuld look at bartel(geelong), cooney(wb), pendlebury(coll), -top of ladder-
- favouritism, black, bartel, kirk.

i really dont know, it doesnt matter alot in the end, they are all consistant 100+ scorers and can all score big. i think i wanna look outside the square, go with a player nopt many have.....kirk, pendlebury.

plz giv a vote, 3,2,1 (black, bartel, goodes, kirk, penlebury, cooney, goodwin) keeping all points in mind and anything i hav missed out on.

my vote at the moment in:
3 - kirk
2 - goodes
1 - bartel

Goodwin = bargain of the week nearly.

These are the trades im looking at doing this week:

Out: Mattner, Wonaeamirri

In: Mackie, Bock

Will set my backs at Cornes, Shaw, Birchall, Mackie, Goddard, Bock, Burgoyne, Pfeiffer, Proud. Reserves are a bit of a worry, but im confident Pfeiffer will get some games towards the end of the season. Im thinking Mackie is worth the extra cash as he has been fairly consistent with his good scores, plus he is a very unique choice.

These trades will leave me with 51k in the bank, 6 trades left and only one upgrade to make (Palmer). Im hoping to trade Palmer to Kornes next week - might take some serious luck though with the B/E's though...

Thoughts on the trades? Am I better off going with someone cheaper than Mackie to guarantee I can get Kornes next week?

someone please help me between franklin and richo (or any other premium forward)!

i can not split them - if only burton hadn't got suspended, i wouldn't need to make the decision yet..!

unless ur stacked with trades i would keep burton, otherwise probably richo

I have enough. If I didn't have both Burton and Murphy I wouldn't trade, but can't afford to have both of them out as I need to keep scoring well.

I'm leaning towards Buddy, but I really want to pick Richo. I'm not sure that Richo can keep it up for the season is all, whereas Buddy seems to be ticking along and clocking up very reasonable scores without necessarily tearing the game to shreds (obviously scoring huge when he does..).

Not sure what I'm going to do just yet.

If Valenti is named, then I'll probably trade Gamble out for him which would free up a significant amount of cash.

If he's not named then I'll probably wait another week and trade Armfield in for Wonna, which will also net me a lot of money.

The other trade I am thinking about is trading Ibbotson to McPhee. At the moment there is only approximately a 15k difference between the two, and McPhee will start to rise a fair bit in price due to Lucas being back in the side. I have 7 trades remaining, and the only players that I am considering upgrading before the end of the season are Ibbotson, Palmer and Rioli. I currently have 57k spare in the cap.

Is that trade worth it? I'm really not sure at the moment. Ibbotson has been fantastic for me and looks to be a player that will consistently score around 70. McPhee, on the other hand, has the capacity to pull some very big scores which will come in handy from here on in. What are your thoughts?

richo is a risk and in my mind buddy is safe. if richo keeps it up they will average about the same but there is more chance that he won't keep it up because he is pretty old and is playing for a much worse team

Richo >>> Buddy for DT this year.

Gonna have to agree with you on that one but they are both risky propositions. I expect Buddy to average 100 this year. If Richo continues to play on the wing then I believe he will average 105-110 for the year. Both have their injury concerns however. Richo, at 33 years of age has only played 4 full seasons in his past 15 years at AFL level. It is fair to say that this new role won't help that. Buddy, some 12 years younger you would expect to be more durable. But he has had his injury concerns and much like Porplyzia he will need an operation post-season on his shoulder and it may well cause him some trouble this year.

out osborne in mcleod

out rioli in reiwoldt.

http://afl.virtualsports.com.au/?p=other_teams&lid=1&tid=49

leaves me with 6 trades left, finished team next week with nathan thompson down to rookie and geary/bird/browne to b harvey

4 trades left with a complete side and emergencies in every area

what do we think?

Rioli to Riewoldt is a good trade, but I looked up "Sideways trade" in the dictionary and there was a diagram of your proposed Osborne > McLeod trade. ;) I'm guessing you're going for a league win? If so, I'd save that trade.

Why are you trading Osborne now? You're carrying Beau Waters for another couple of weeks, which means you're starting Nathan J Brown in that time.
