Need some help deciding on second trade. $580K, 13 trades left.
First one is Tuck>Muston

Next one is tricky- have Raines and Cornes both injured, and Malceski and Petrenko on extended bench. If either/both of them play, there's a good chance they'll drop in value, so I'm more tempted to move one of them on and leave the injured blokes in the bank for another week or two. Having said that, I then leave myself with no bench cover, which makes me nervous- already playing with a zero thanks to Gardiner.

The other question is who to get? Newman and Drummond are the obvious choices (have Goddard & Fisher), but which one? Will get the other next week. I'm leaning towards Newman- the Tiges will be fired up tonight, but Drummond could have quite a fun time against the Blues as well.

Help?

This week i have done
Beams ---> Muston
C.Cornes ---> Enright
11 trades left and $265,300 in the bank.

Hi all, need some advice.

Current Team

Code:
Enright - Gilbee - Adcock - Burgoyne P - Huolihan - Grimes - Broughton (C Cornes - Rance)
Judd - Selwood - Gibbs - Cross - Rich - Dangerfield - (T Tuck - Beams)
McIntosh - Kruezer - (Jacobs Pyke)
Goodwin - Pavlich - Delidio - Franklin - Krakouer - Higgins - Skipworth - (Ziebell - Dowler)

My team needs a lot of improving.

I have $180,800 in the bank with 11 trades left.
I am trading T Tuck down to Muston.
This will leave me with $401,000 in the bank.

I will C Cornes on the bench for now. He is a keeper for me and don't want to waste a trade.

Should I upgrade Rich to Ablett which will leave me 66,900 in the bank
Should I upgrade Cross to Ablett which will leave me 137,800 in the bank

Or should I spread the 'wealth' around. i.e. Ziebell to S Johnson and Krakouer to R O'Keefe and Rich to someone like Dal Santo or Goodes ?

Any advice appreciated.

If you don't have corey enright give him some serious consideration - he has started to play some great footy in recent weeks

who should i get between Newman and Fisher?

I've had Fisher all season, but both have been very consistent. If both continue to average 100 all season, Fisher's set to drop $11,000 this week but then gain around $26,000 for the remainder of the season. Newman will increase about $13,000 for the next two weeks but then drop around $14,000 before the end of the season. This is if they were to score their averages every week. So while Fisher is $7,000 more, averages say he should gain you a little extra cash. Not enough money to really worry about, but everything helps

I've brought in Muston but I am going to hold off on the GAJ trade until I know he's definitely playing.

If I don't get it done before lockout it's not the end of the world. GAJ will come back to my team next week. Even if he scores 200 he only goes up $30K while Rich will go up as well.

Agree with this call, but also think about Lockyer (plays midfield & has laid the most tackles of the defenders you mentioned)

Agree with both of these as well. Damnit! You blokes are no help... :p
Enright I had pencilled in for a later trade, and I've been vacillating over Lockyer since the season began- he spent quite a bit of time in my team prior to kickoff...

A backline of Goddard, Fisher, Drummond, Newman, Enright, Lockyer, Grimes (Suban, Broughton) in 3-4 weeks isn't outside the realms of possibility. Should see me OK in the finals...:D

Nice Backline that...to consider
Lockyer's B\E is 113 against Mel very achievable
Enright's B\E is 73 against WC on the large expanses of Subi....:thumbsu:

Traded in Ablett for Rich. Thats three geelong players in my mid along with Selwood and Corey. Playing against the top team i'm liking my chances now. My opponent will also have a couple of donuts in the backline with Cornes and Gilbert out.

My only dilemma now is who to start as 7th forward out of Sidebottom and Ziebell. Leaning towards Sidebottom....

I decided to do these after Muston had a nother big game.

Muston, Ablett In
Mitchell, Robinson Out.

Plenty of cash left over and probably use a chunk of it when I trade Cornes out :thumbsu:

It's all a bit of a bugger innit? Drummond's B/E of 115 and Newman's of 90 also both quite doable.

Newman this week, Enright next (will have had a nice big rest and playing against Freo- nom nom nom), Drummond the week after (mmmmmm Melbourne). Keep Tarks in the back of the mind for late in the season. I do need to upgrade a couple of forwards as well, otherwise I'd be after all 4 right now.

Think I'm done. Just have to wait for final teams this arvo...

Thanks for the help everyone.

My plans have been completely shot this week!!

Planned on getting Muston and upgrading Ziebell, but with 4-6 outs this week I am stuffed!

teamb4r11.jpg

I have 11 trades and only 20k.

I was thinking of going:
Robinson -> Muston
Gilbert -> Goddard (or Enright to leave me with some cash)

This will leave me with only 1-3 possible zeros (if potrenko doesn't play)
Plus a backline gun!

BUT... Should I forget about Muston as good as he is going to be and accept that I have bigger issues and go with:
Gilbert -> Ellis
Ziebell -> Fevola

Or maybe there is a better option I am not seeing... Thoughts?

Well, Gilbert should only be 1 week out and Ziebell's just a rumour re gastro.

Muston is still worth getting IMO. He will give you a cow-rich midfield that you can go to town on upgrading one of those mid priced mids and 1-2 rookie forwards later on. Then scrap Chornes who's a bigger issue than Gilbert.

Robbo-Muston
Chornes - Goddard (?)

I think that leaves you with 1 zero provided Warran & Ziebell play

Then if Ballantyne does well, you could downgrade Krak-Ballantyne and upgrade Ziebell to a gun, rather than Fev.

Your team is pretty strong but those 2 sideways trades you are thinking of don't really move it forward IMO.

this week i went:
robinson > muston - i made a little $$ and should have a good emergency mid for the rest of the season &
dangerfield > ablett - gives me a lock-in captain every week but that leaves me with only 7 trades left. 6 after i fix up chad cornes in the coming weeks. the only other player i want now is hodge then my team is set so no more trades to finals, hopefully!

Has anyone who was considering bringing in Ablett this week, had second thoughts?
I'm just not convinced hes fit and can see him being mothballed early and scoring say a 100.
Then there is always the possibility he'll be 99% fit and pull out a 200.
I'm planning to bring him in anyway but just trying to decide if now is the time with only 8 trades remaining im thinking i might just sit on em and wait till the break.
Anyone agree/ disagree?

Spudwick, this has been my biggest dilemma.

I have a midfield of : Judd, Bartell, Gibbs, Selwood, Rich, Dangerfield, (Beams and Robinson), 10 Trades and $180000 in the bank.
Want to get GAJ in (upgrading Rich, and would ideally use Beams to bring in Muston - becasue in the mean time I see Danger as more likely to get a game in fill the 6th Midfielder spot.

However I am left a little short to get GAJ using Beams, so would have to go Danger>Muston, then Rich >Ablett....however then I have the concern over whether Muston, Beams and Robinsion can cover that 6th spot for a few weeks until the next upgrade.

So perhaps I wait on Ablett, get rid of Robinson for Muston as would be my ideal plan, then hope like hell Rich goes up enough to cover any increase in Gaj this week

Thanks for the responce Hondo,

Good points made, I think I am better off trading out Chornes, I guess I was reluctant because I thought there was more chance I will want him back later, and he was always marked in as a keeper but he hasn't been that great looking at his season so far.

I think I will look at your option which will give me a pretty awsome backline and then focus on my forwards in the coming rounds.

Still not sure to go with Enright or Goddard though.

hey peoples. I need to get muston before he goes up over 100000 this week. my possible trades for him in the midfield are coughlan, collins, rich and hartlett. who should i go with.

Hi JP Kangas - if you haven't already, check out tooserious.com.au and look at these guys B/E's.

Rich's price should still increase, and he is likely to get a game week in and week out, so I'd definetely keep him out of this lot. Not so sure about Collins and harlett though.

Gonna trade Malceski out. Not sure who I should go for though. Should I go Newman or Fisher or someone cheaper like Ellis? Or should I wait a week and get Hodge though Malceski's price is set to plummet with his 20 from last week :thumbsdown:
