Is Boak the worst finisher in the AFL? Both in terms of kicking a goal and hitting a target i50.

Had about 3 opportunities to do something vaguely useful and every kick went about 20m away from the target.

Funny that the mind has gone but the body is fine. Just mentally ****ed.

I'm intrigued as to what the fabled "succession plan" is going to yield. I don't see our midfield grabbing games by the horns (pun intended) when they're there to be won. Another disappointing night to be a Port fan.

Writing was on the wall when we were playing such great sharp footy around the ball in the first half. Probably the better side but a few mistakes going forward and some key misses and we didn't take advantage of our play.

Come 2nd half I knew and called out we were going to be in trouble after that. You can't be sitting behind after basically firing your best shot. There was always going to be a lull and when it came it killed us.

"Yeah look we thought we were certainly in the contest, I mean if you look at the stats you'll see we actually matched them in most areas. But I've been around in footy for a long time and it's a funny game, sometimes things just don't work out and the little things like the ball bouncing the wrong way can change everything, and maybe today the ball just didn't quite bounce our way as much as we would've liked. But we're a really strong group, we've shown that I reckon, so we'll go away now and enjoy some time off, god knows we could use a bit of a freshen up, and then we'll come back ready to go for the second half of the season. Never seen a defense stand off their player all game, have the ball fall short, land in their lap and not do anything about it for 4 quarters, stupidest defense I have seen in long time. You'd forgive them if they stuck to their player and just were beaten, but no randomly play off your player in the hope you'd get the ball. So frustrated with our defense. Not our only problem but how did we pick Burton after the last effort at home? This club has seriously annoyed me.
