That was so frustrating , was hoping 1st quarter set shot 💩 show wouldn’t come back to bite us but it did .
Unfortunately we beat ourselves with poor skill errors & crucial undisciplined frees .
Why couldn’t we overrun them with a player short on bench ? It was suggested the reason we coughed up late 25 point lead last week in last 7 minutes ???

I don't think switching Howe with Frampton would've made a difference. It's not like Howe's some amazing forward.

We lost the game once they got on top of the clearances. We looked like world beaters in the first quarter no matter who our forwards were when we won the clearances out the middle. Ultimately just Naicos and Crisp couldn't sustain it against Bont, Treloar and Macrae for the whole game.

Game was lost when Pendles also withdrew.

Howe has kicked more goals in a quarter than Frampton has in his career.

Was it a coaching strategy to ‘park the bus’ in the last quarter? Or we just didn’t have the personnel or players out there to finish off? Our injuries have not just diluted our experience, they have taken away match winners.

Rest, recuperate and get ready for Melbourne. We still have Steven May to pay back for his disrespectful comments.🙃
we simply couldn’t get our hands on it, they lifted and we couldn’t go with them

Howe can take a mark and is clever with his positioning up forward, something Frampton and AJ struggled with all night on both fronts.

+ Frampton height would’ve been a better matchup on Darcy.

Markov also should’ve gone back, Noble to the wing and Bytel subbed off.

Once they moved Bont to physically target Nick we should of had someone intervening like McCreery or Crisp.

Need someone to block Bont from getting over to Nick as his sole focus was to stop nicks run. He then worked off him after that.

As bad as the umpiring was, the first quarter killed us. Game was lost there

Reckon the coaches 100% knew we wouldn’t have the legs in the last carrying so many VFL players and tried to end the game early and let them play catch up

But we screwed it up with deplorable goal kicking

Then the umps took over the rest

Wow. Give our players a break. That was a great effort. Beyond expectations. Our bottom six players just weren't up to it and wont be when injured players come back. We couldn't match their 200cm players.

We all wanted game time into our young players and some aren't up to it. We know that now. For those thinking krueger is the answer, he wasn't that impressive in VFL. Kicked three easy goals but that's it. Long way off AFL.

You can't expect our VFL players to run out the last quarter every week. They did their best

We missed Pendles directing traffic in the last quarter. Don't under estimate his presence in tight games.

Proud of the boys. They bleed black and white. Coaches were moving magnets last quarter. We did our best and were out lasted by the better forward team on the night.

Finally love to know the free count last quarter. They were given a good run the throwdogs. How many times do they throw balls out of packs? Its bs.

Great effort by the boys. We had nothing left to give in the last. I’m just glad no injuries.

Johnson over Kruger proved to be the blunder we all expected.

With our lack of talls both should’ve played. If we were only going to play 1 it should’ve been Kreuger because he’ll compete, chase and tackle more than Johnson.

The players tired in the end but the effort was there.

Can't help but feel that a couple of decisions by the coach backfired and different decisions could have lead to a win.

The first was playing Frampton forward or more importantly removing him from defence in order to play as the 2nd ruck.

Should have kept him in defence and selected Kreuger. I would have played Kreuger and Howe forward and wouldn't have been against selecting Johnson either.

The second was once again allowing the oppositions most creative half back to rack up mid 30 disposals.

I would have thought that with a depleted side swallowing our pride and not backing our sytem to be enough would have been smart. We selected Markov and played him forward so why not use him to effectively tag Dale.

I'd rather 20 from Dale than the 10 from Markov we got.

Others club try this kind of tactic.

Very very poor coaching in that last quarter. Howe should've been moved forward way earlier and someone to bont to quell his influence.

Really over us playing defensive in the last quarter.
Poor coaching also subbing Noble rather than Bitel, Macrae or Harrison, none of whom had fired a shot. The last thing we needed was another small player in Parker on the ground. The game was probably lost at selection choosing Johnson over Kreuger. Sullivan was the one new player to really show that he belonged out on the ground. Very disappointing performance.

**** that Centrelink club. Everytime we had momentum - whistle free kick and Bulldogs goal.

We kick the ball - not 15 play on. 30 seconds later, the same umpire awards a mark to the Dogs inside 50m after a kick that barely went 12.

Then there was another Schultz gets shoved but he gets pinged for no intent to keep the ball in when it's in our forward line.

Anyway someone let me know when the karma bus has run over Sam Darcy. Cheers.

Yeah, so easy to stop Bont.

Needed to capitalise in the first quarter.
We were very average after that but accuracy kept us in it as we moved from 5.8 to 12.8
Absolutely nothing went our way in the last quarter when we definitely could still have won it. One goal could have given us the momentum back.
Ultimately though not good enough on the night relying on too few.

New season this year.

You need to evolve.

You continually invite teams back into games because you can't finish or take your foot off the pedal, you will eventually get your just deserts.

Last year was great, but this year has seen the wheel turn a bit more when we doze off.
Get the best players out on the field and we are one of the best teams in it, the game plan has evolved but personnel is missing.

Yeah I agree with that.
Is Fly actually making the gameday moves? looks to me he leaves a lot of it up to Leppa and Bolton etc with fly coaching the players from bench.
