Agreed. I lost the ability to speak for a moment. How can any umpire decide to blow the whistle in a tight clash in wet conditions when there was absolutely no illegal holding. It reeks of ego and wanting to be a part of the action. Moore was also crucified late in the third term with that alleged sliding and taking the legs away of the hawk forward. He got to the pill before his opponent appeared on the scene. The third shocker was the dangerous tackle against McCreery late in the last quarter. Are they trying to destroy this game?
The in danger against WHE was also ridiculous and then moments later are far more fitting dangerous kick by a Hawk players was ignored. The umpiring this year has been diabolical and influencing the outcome of too many games. How can you apply such tiggy touchwood rules in today's conditions ? They weren't there in dry weather!
This is why umpiring is so difficult and why we are never happy with the umps- I would have paid both of those.
