Honestly no idea - haven't watched a lot of Hawks. I'm thinking Wingard next week and see another week of Burton and consider him r14/15 if happy with the role and consistency.
Ronke to Wingard for a small bit of cash. Can't complain there.

If Burton could hit 80's & 90's there'd be money to be made there. I've been getting those scores from Savage all year.
$ wise I could go,
Murray downgrade to Burton
Doedee sideways to Burton (after this week's slight price rise for Tom)
You'd back in Burton to AVG more than Murray from here on, particularly if you factor in DNP's

Watched Sauce Jacobs pretty closely, dropped off massively in the vein of his old foe Matty Lobbe.

You guys trust Ken Hinkley and Chad Wingard?

Been watching Burton really closely this year and i think he is finally just getting his confidence back, had a small niggle in round 1 and it seemed to bother him for a few weeks and he really struggled to get over it, he also had the Higgins bump that i think knocked him around a little (no one likes hurting someone like that) think it and the media attention it received was something he struggled to deal with.

His running hard and to the right places, he wants the ball again which is something that i don't think he wanted earlier in the year. He almost reminded me of the kid in school that hates sport that just hopes the ball doesn't come his way. His effort both offensively and defensively are improved and i think we want him to be that person delivering the ball inside 50 for us, which also means we should be looking to get the ball in his hands. We are a much much better team when he is that last kick inside 50.

He will be 100% coming in for me this week, best case scenario is that he will be around until late in the season averaging around 90 and will be a late upgrade. Worst case is he will be great bye coverage for the next 2 weeks and still make some money due to a low break even and i move him on after if he doesn't maintain his form.

The thing that scares me with Wingard is his role, will he be a mid next week? A Forward? A forward mid? A mid forward? No one knows and that is why i struggle to bring him in, same goes for Gray and to a lesser extent Rocky. Also hard to know if this week was just a game he got himself up for to silence all the critics. I may be getting both Burton and Wingard in this week because it is hard to split them.
I really needed to read this about Burton, thanks! Also agree 100% in regards to Wingard. Can't trust Hinkley at all and I already have 2 Port forwards

Yeah I was at the game, and the Freo boys did okay against him so he would be disappointed!

So had 21 playing now 20 with Duman out.
On 1094 with 8 to play
Duman 0 Beams 50 and Big 0 on 51 to drop
Fritch only rookie left

Surely Duman's score doesn't count if he's a DNP?

I need Brayshaw (c), Gawn and Treloar to go massive today for me to have any chance of posting a decent score...

Think most will have Gawn and Bray, many either as captain. So Treloar (Grundy, Sidey, etc) will be significant PODs. Also you would want poor score from Fritsch/Spargo.

1169/13 after taking out the lowest 3 scores so far. Disappointing game yesterday with Crouch and Walters, to go with Steven being tagged for his lowest score of the year.

Gawn (c), Hibberd, J.Smith, Oliver, Fritsch to play today, would be absolutely stoked with anything over 1700 at this rate.

Just wondering how many players everyone has had play so far, lowest scores included?

I only have 18 scoring players on field in total this round, and am currently sitting on 1405/15 with Gawn (C), Treloar and Fritsch to come.

Lowest two scores have been Giro 57 and Guelfi 65, but apart from that my lowest is 82.

Just asking because I seem to be scoring reasonably well but have dropped in ranking from around 2300 to 2900ish.
Have people in general had more than 15 scores so far?

Yeah a lot of people probably have a full 18 counting so far

So, quick maths.

1422/17.

Gawn (C), Brayshaw, Pet Raccoon and Fritsch to come.

If I were to get 120, 100, 80, 80 - which is the rough averages, I would then sit at 1922/21 - dropping the lowest three (155 total) would put me at 1767.

Not sure how that will place me this week...

Think that's roughly where I'll end up too, would say that's about par or a bit under.

Had Caddy, Ronke, Brayshaw, Giro, Ahern and Coffield all in the 50’s......
Brayshaw, Ahern and ronke for me, but I only have 19 players.

Obviously the result of today's players will have an effect - if Gawn goes 70 then many will lose 50+ points as he will be captain for many. If today's players hit their averages, 1700 should be a good score and around par. 1750+ should see upward movement in the top 5-10k I would've thought.

But ultimately it's a three-week (19 game) round!

Agreed, have to measure movement across the three weeks, not on round by round.

I like the way of looking at it a 19 game round, except for the games that are being played. I didn't even realize i was in leagues playing these byes!
