Anyone remember when Scarlett had enough of Ballantyne one day and decided to bop him one....

I would find it hard playing against Dev Smith to not do the same. Front running whinging sook.

I personally don't see him as part of Essendons rebuild. Reckon he'll be shopped around or delisted within 2 years.

It's weird to say but despite controlling the second quarter, it felt like we were underwhelming. A lot of our play is being made off the rebounding defenders and very little from the mids. Shiels and Newcombe both had very little of the ball whilst playing in the middle. If they can get more of it it'll mean we are winning more of the ball from the stoppages and we can hurt them without them getting their spare back. Currently 13-22 in clearances with Mitchell having 5 of those and none to Cousins, Shiels or Newcombe.

Happy with where we are but we are working so much harder to score by constantly chasing the ball out from the contest and it hurts more when we concede such an easy goal in the last 20 seconds to the grub that is stringer

Much better effort that quarter and we’re making it hard for them to play against us, but ultimately wasting the ball inside 50 will cost you.

I just want to see more building of the connection between Bramble, Day, Impey, Scrim and CJ now. They’re our play makers from the back half and they will have a big say on what we do as a side going forward.

‘right when Scarlett was in that media campaign against king hits? Awkward

Got a link for that stat?
Expected accuracy means nothing: I expect to see high quality comment when I have a look at this forum and am constantly let down.
I don't need a toothpick though, thanks.
Expected accuracy is based on the overall accuracy from that spot compared to the players accuracy. In other words not just kicking behinds but kicking behinds from the goal square is worse than fro the boundary. Much better than just accuracy and the boy is an embarrasment at the moment. Love him, but needs to fix his kicking.

Play on play on play on. When not playing on look for the tallest Dons player on the ground, then kick it somewhere else. We got this if we want it. Cegs might be getting outdone but its his 2nd and sometimes 3rd efforts I like

Interesting!
From a quick read over it I think this stat makes a lot of sense to care about, but is probably better to view how a player tracks through it from year to year.
I'm not sure but I feel like this stat can be adjusted very heavily between games- especially for players playing in sides that have ball movement issues; as an example a shot might have a quality rating of 60%, but when you take into account all the other factors in the game that % could increase or decrease drastically.

It's been our biggest problem for mine in the post sam mitchell era.
No question NUMERO UNO for Clarko is for our mids to try and get a good defensive position BEFORE thinking about roving the ball. No one gets let off the leash until we're behind to just go hunt first and worry about the man second.

I know a few on here like that methodology.
Me no likely. I want one onballer EVERY bounce/throw in to have license to just barrell balls to the wall and try and anticipate the drop and win first use.

The great thing is he is getting great quality shots, so he is winning the ball in very good spots. Just can't kick.
