Owens is a fierce competitor, but I don't see him a midfielder, more a half forward/ CHF- much more value in the forward half with his follow up efforts and goal-kicking sense. Paton, Bytel and Highmore need to be rewarded, as there were a few who just played quite poorly against the Tiges, and need to go out.

He can play in multiple positions. I don't want to pigeonhole him. Can do everything to a high standard.

Finally watched the game wow I’m impressed with Mattaes. Was one of our cleanest players by a long way. Love his handballing a real weapon.

He was drafted as a pretty adaptable player though. I think we projected him as a De Goey/ Bont burst mid but he was a genuine utility as an underage player. He was genuinely playing back, forward and mid. Probably meant he drifted to us because he was hard to pin down and really showed that he could accumulate in the midfield late in the year.
