Trades Round 14 Trades

Will be pretty boring this week, thinking:

Alex Pearce > Redman
Andrew Brayshaw (Harsh after his performance) > Joel Smith
Macrae :'( > Josh Kelly or Treloar

Tempted to go with Josh kelly because of his ceiling, but his durability worries me quite a bit.

These trades leave me with $350-380k for next weeks upgrades.

Who goes first. Rice or Austin?
I have exact same issue. Have gone Austin out first. He was really a cash grab for me. His scores seem to be coming back to earth now. I like the look of rice and reckon he can hold a spot. He is concussed at present but should be right with the bye. So I have held Rice. Will probably have to trade both out long term anyway.

Anyone seen a higher break even than 202?
Do we have a name for the opposite of cash cow?
Also checkout the following couple of weeks break even if he returns and tonnes up. (Still high)
How cheap come finals?

I remember ages ago G.Ablett had a similar low score then injury, leading to a 200+ BE. If his first game back is not en pointe then his price will nosedive.

Anyone else think Treloar's B/E looks weird on footywire? It's showing 120, but his last three scores were all tonnes.... :/

Probably loses around 100k more in next 3 games back. So in 6-7 weeks ie just before finals will be 720k?

Those projected scores are a little on the low side assuming he can come back in and pick up where he left off.

If not Kelly then who? I'm bringing two premo mids in, and can't go past Wines and Kelly at this point. Wines away from AO worries me a bit but looks in ripper form at the moment.

It's definitely 120.
Considered other mids due to this but need that extra Premo strength with Macrae out even though J.Kelly also brought in.

Josh Kelly is very alluring but I'm going to take the conservative approach and wait on him...he did miss 6 weeks with a groin injury and those tend to not magically go away. Plus I'd like to see how he scores with Coniglio in the side this week.

At this point, I like the look of Whitfield with his 79 BE and versing the lions. I've been itching to get rid of Parker for months now and have upgraded him to Treloar with a nice match up versus Carlton. And finally I'm going to chase some cash and a potential F6 in Wingard with his DPP and 32 BE.

Midfield is complete (Titch, Kelly, Zerrett, Cogs, Ablett, Zorko, Neale, Wines) but some alterations will be made over the coming rounds. Once Macrae is back for a few weeks and drops 100K will be the final mid brought in for someone like Neale or Zerrett.

For now, trades are:

T. Kelly > Wines
Macrae > J. Kelly
Waterman > Smith via Murphy DPP

203K remaining and ranked 1047th, which is incredible considering how ridiculously shit I've been over the byes. 18 playing this week. Would have been full premo coming out of the byes, but Laird, Macrae, Phillips and a bunch of others really threw a spanner in the works. Oh well.

Will be trading out Savage and Seedsman at the end of the bye rounds to bring in Laird, Lloyd or Crisp and then one of those 3 the following week.

Bring on Round 14, gotta be better than the last round. 'Crae really breaks those records, one way or another. Never seen a BE over 200 before!

Yeah nice one!
I agree, I currently have Macrae, Mitchell, Curnow, Merrett, Beams, Zorko, Neale.

Last spot was to be Coniglio or Treloar, though wanted to wait a week on Cogs given concussion stuff (eg. Zerrett at start of season). Now with Macrae I have two to fill. So probably Treloar this week, make sure Cogs and Jelly are right then pick between them next week.

Am currently bringing in 3 Dees this week

Macrae (RIP :'() > Oliver - Is in only 4% of teams and just seems to be super consistent, doesn't have a huge ceiling but i don't need it

Doedee > J Smith - Obvious cash cow, looks to have good job security with Lever out for the season and looked good on debut

Venables (Please don't ask why i still have him) > Hogan - Has been amazing all year except for his last game and is only 6% of teams

Venables is available this week tho. I'm sure he goes straight to WAFL, but JK is supposedly under an injury cloud so could be a cheeky chance... Anyhow probs should've traded him out, but if you've still got him keep an eye on the team sheets this w/e.

Oh right well i have others that can go instead if he does get named, just so cheap that it has been hard to dump him and do anything with the other trade. Bye rounds always help getting rid of these players. Cheers though will wait till teams to decide.

Treloar was the other that was tempting me. I feel like going to Wines is a slight downgrade from an uber, however this could just be because I'm salty from being so close to picking up Wines last week haha

I guess, but he's so cheap and pumping out some huge scores so at the very worst should surely put on another 100k after picking him up.

I've gone:
Rice > Smith
Doedee > Yeo
Macrae > Trealor

I'm really undecided on the premos, as I can get anyone for both Def and Mid. I've been playing with a Kelly and Crisp combo as well.

Ive already got;
Def: Laird, Lloyd, Sic, Simpson
Mid: Titch, Curnow, Cogs, Fyfe, Gibbs, Merrett, Rocky.

Anyone else got any thoughts.

Is Crisp worth the extra $70,000 over Sicily?
Both averaging the same, but Crisp just feels safer to me.
Going to upgrade Austin this week, really want Crisp, but the difference between having $83,000 in the bank compared to $13,000 is huge for me as I will finally be upgrading Goldy next week.

Plan was to uofrade him this week, but I have issues with Macrae, McLean and Bontempelli, alongside the fact I have 2 non playing rookies on the bench in defence and can’t afford to not trade one of them to either Smith/Redman this week for basically 0 cash.

Macrae > Kelly
Doedee > Whitfield
Rice/Murphy > Redman

Should have 20 playing after trades, but will most likely be 12 after all my rookies are dropped for no reason. :grinning:
