Who did Brisbane pick up with the picks they got from North?

It gets a bit lost in the shuffle because the pick was thrown into a three way trade with Brisbane, North and Collingwood along with Bastinac, Aish, and future picks. Then, academy picks and compensation moved them all further down where they were originally set to be picked anyway.

Eagles - In: Redden, Out: #17

Brisbane - In: Bastinac, Mathison (40 games), Out: #17, Aish, 2016 third
North - In: McKay (four games), Clarke (40 games, delisted), Hibberd (four games, delisted), Wagner (eight games, delisted), Declan Watson (yet to debut). Out: Bastinac and a bunch of picks, who even knows.
Collingwood I can’t figure out where those picks disappeared to, theirs is a nightmare to track. All in the 40s and 50s.

We got the best player and pick 17 was, in reality, pick 21. Mathison was a good pick for Brisbane but they sent out a lot more than just 17. North’s use of the various picks was an unmitigated disaster.

Let’s just keep it simple and say we won.

Hard to believe he is a premiership player at times, and not just a passenger either.

Also hard to believe some are still questioning whether the trade was worth it.
Yep, he goes under the radar a lot, the invisible or undersung midfielder?
Not so speccy, too busy doing the blue-collar work!
you wonder if he's hit his ceiling or can he improve? great if he could...

Are Ben and Harry McKay twins? Because Harry is going to be a powerhouse. You’d think Ben should be at least halfway decent.

Watching a bit of Essendon lately and the player nobody mentions who is killing the pig is Mcgrath. That little tick is their linkman. He works hard back and forward and rarely wastes a kick.He is the man that Hutch should go to.He is unobtrusively doing a lot of damage.

Was some sort of a draft - McGrath, Taranto, McCluggage. You really wouldn’t have wanted to trade out of the top 3...

30 year anniversary of our worst loss the Windy Hill Massacre when we kicked 1.18 with Lewis the only goal scorer for us.

During the off-season, the Eagles replaced WA footy legend John Todd with Mick Malthouse for season 1990. The rest was all history

You missed the opportunity for this.

Thought this might be somehow relevant...here's hoping!
"Unfortunately for Essendon, Jonathan Brown just publicly declared that the Eagles are no longer the best team in WA, based on some apparently relevant stats. The Eagles, being a proud club, will probably take offence to that and come out firing.
Although Essendon are coming off a comfortable win against the Hawks, I can’t see them winning this one. They may match it with the Eagles for a while, but the Eagles are one of the few teams that can put a game to bed in a short period, irrespective of how they’ve played up to that point.
Eagles by 18..." (Matthew Passmore/Mongrel Punt/Rnd !4 Preview)

If we're serious this year, we should do this by six goals. We've got players coming back this week, more to follow, and a draw that opens up for us from here. A top four spot is well and truly on the cards if we start playing properly. But if we're getting beaten at home by a side like Essendon - who probably won't play finals - then that's going to make things difficult. I hope we come out tonight and give an indication that we're knuckling down post-bye.
