Dropping Kelly next week will be just about the easiest selection decision you could make. He could open a specialty meats stall and start slinging prime cuts, the way he disposes of the ball.
He is a coach favourite for some reason. If his wing spot gets taken he will bop up as a small forward.

game really hasn’t been over umpired either
So much so that you might wonder if they actually even notice that we’re out there at all. The obvious holding the ball, the non-mark to 2MP followed by paying a similar one to them, and three frees to us in a half of footy is pretty piss-poor umpiring. It’s only ok to not over-umpire if it works for both teams. While WC only have a low 6 frees it’s still twice as many as our measly offerings.

the non mark was a shocker given that waterman got one right at the end of the quarter. i’d rather this level than 30 going either way

Amazing game Durham is having
A bit bashed up past couple of matches and needed the week off by the looks of it.

Who needs umpires???

ESSENDON

A frustrating couple of weeks prior to the bye saw the Bombers throw away potential victories with what seemed like hundreds of wasted chances.
We managed to match Carlton around the ground, and arguably had the ascendancy for long periods, but were ultimately let down by disgustingly inaccurate kicking inside 50 and even worse kicking for goal.
Tom De Koning was well beaten in the hit-outs by Todd Goldstein, but his around the ground work proved to be a huge difference.
Alarm bells were ringing when the Blueshite registered 3 goals before we got a single one, and whilst we were matching it with them, that scoreboard difference never really looked to be in threat.
Despite us utterly dominating the third term, we only managed to kick 3.6 compared to the Blues 1.1, and when they kicked the first four goals in the final term, that was all she wrote.
**** Carlton.

WEST COAST

Another case of shitty goalkicking costing a team the game, but we should also mention the absolutely bizarre umpiring in the final minutes that sealed it. My god, umpiring is trash this season.
The Eagles had a huge run of momentum in the final term after a run of six unanswered goals which brought the home crowd to life.
That being said, Norf outplayed the Eagles all game despite the controversial ending, and West Coast will be ruing the chance they had to get another strong win at home.
The holes left by Tim Kelly and Harley Reid are glaring, and frustration through the midfield resulted in free kicks being given away constantly.

We're almost full strength, against a building Eagles side playing away from home, missing their best two midfielders. Should be no excuse here. Time to get back on the winning train before some seriously tough fixtures coming up.

Essendon by 44.

Yeah with ball in hand Durham is looking a class above again. Just knows how to move through traffic, when to hold the disposal, and when to pull the trigger. Up there with Merrett in terms of making the right call at the right time to set up an attacking play.
