Not much to change in the Essendon side that put GWS to the sword for the majority of the match two weeks ago. With a week off for the players to relax and recuperate, the line-up remains basically the same except for one change, with Patty Ambrose left out of the time while he recovers from a small back injury. Replacing him in the side is Matt Dea, who is in some outstanding form in the red and black.
West Coast, on the other hand, have slashed the shit out of their side to take on the mighty powerhouse that is Essendon. Lel.
Old mate Jonathan Giles must be wondering if he's actually cut out for life at AFL level, with this, his fourth club, dumping him to the WAFL after a bog average performance last time out. To be fair, he really isn't AFL level, but he's getting paid an AFL wage for playing WAFL games. No worries. West Coast's version of Mitch Brown is finally back, after missing over a year and a half through injury. He hasn't played in the AFL since Round 1, 2015, and it will be interesting to see how long it takes for him to get into the swing of things against the powerhouse that is TIPPA.
TIPPAAAAAAAA.
ESSENDON BOMBERS - #13 - ORAZIO FANTASIA
How good is this kid? Last week, he could have easily slotted 8 goals before he got punched in the face, paying a free kick against Essendon in the process (F**k me, right?), but disappointingly drew the ledger at 4 goals 4 behinds. What a freak! Even team mate Matty Stokes said it was the best half of football he's ever seen from one player. We have to hope this has sparked a run and Ori can make a solid run at it all now. He's a gun, he's our gun, and legend has it that he is the one who could stop ISIS because he's bloody great at everything else.
ESSENDON BOMBERS - #48 - MATHEW STOKES
Needs to start showing more. Has been extremely quiet since returning from injury, barely being sighted all game. He gathered 16 disposals a fortnight ago against GWS by running through the midfield and half-forward, but currently isn't doing enough to warrant a continued place in the side on name alone. Really needs to make a more consistent showing down forward, because at the moment when you think of Essendon's forward line, his name doesn't register at all.
Met pls.
WEST COAST - #11 - MATT PRIDDIS
Just in case the not-so-enlightened of you didn't figure it out, that's meant to be him in the opening image banner. Noodles. Because his hair looks like n...
Yeah.
WEST COAST - #17 - JOSH KENNEDY
F**K.
We're going to get this.
West Coast are known as flat track bullies.
When they play average teams at home, they destroy them.
We are very very average, as can be expected.
They're at home.
Piss.
