Slightly off topic, but allegedly the big leak that’s in the news this evening is largely players from WA clubs.
IF that’s true, does anyone find it interesting that this happens now? Think back to the Jack Crisp and Dusty incidents as well.
All three before they play Brisbane.
I believe OOC this year, and over the last few years had heaps of soft tissue injuries. If Simpson and list management were going to send a message to the playing group they should not offer another contract (or at least heavily reduced and captaincy removed). They need to move past their ageing players who are taking up considerable salary cap.Shuey is a big out for the Eagles, looked their most likely mid last week against the Saints.
Hurn is a champion of the WCE, however him being out is a big loss for the Lions.
Already did, live on Twomey’s vlog.If the Eagles come last what's the bet that Reid will come out with something like I'd prefer to stay in Victoria
I was living in Western Victoria at the time and sat in the car listening to the game on 3LO, not 3KZ
From the Archives, 1979: Lions record-breaking Demons massacre
The 1979 season will hold no bearing in the minds of Melbourne fans come Saturday night, but this match is full of current records. It is the greatest winning margin in AFL/VFL history, and will likely remain Melbourne’s highest conceded score for generations to come.amp.theage.com.au
I saw it on sale at the Brunswick Street Oval on Saturday. It looks great. They can be purchased here:I was living in Western Victoria at the time and sat in the car listening to the game on 3LO, not 3KZ
By the way, have you checked out the Fitzroy 140th anniversary guernsey ?

Gunston to kick 5 and Fages to declare "he is back".Zorko & Gunston are in ........ well that's what was temporarily on the Lions website.
I think it may have been inadvertently posted ...... there was no story behind the headline.... now removed.
Let’s hope Fagan sees sense and doesn’t select him. If he does, I would hope we move Fagan on and look at Damian Hardwick for 2024. Hardwick wants to coach again, he’s got a CV covered in Premierships and a move to sunny Queensland might be the fresh start he needs.Jack regained (gained?) agility in 3 weeks ?
Yeah ,wouldn't be a great look if you picked a favourite son who coughed it up 11weeks running to get another chance against the worst team in the AFL for quite some time.
If gunston gets a game I will lose my mind.
Brisbane residents will hear my melt - not read it.
I can already feel my blood pressure rising.

Seriously, he's had a really good training block and would have no chance of getting picked unless he's ticking the right boxes and impressing the coaches and the team. Let's not be melodramatic.
I guess we’ll know soon enough because Fagan is loyal to an ageing ex hawk to whom the lions owe absolutely nothing. He had a whole pre season to be fit and needed a rest in round 5.Seriously, he's had a really good training block and would have no chance of getting picked unless he's ticking the right boxes and impressing the coaches and the team.
