Thinking of going Gablett to Sidey (Or ward) then moving Wingard onto a Lids/R.Gray type. What are peoples thoughts on these moves?

Sounds good, going to sidey gives you extra cash to upgrade. I'd look at upgrading Smith too, both he and wingard have high-ish BE and smith hasnt been scoring very well for a while.

I'm ranked 2932 so looking for a little point of difference that might see me climb up a bit higher.
With ablett out im looking at curnow, macrae, ziebell, coniglio, viney, JPK or sidey. I'm open to any of them but north hardly travels from here on so ziebell is option one...
I have the cash to go to anyone, any opinions?

Have you got Gibbs? He looks like he'll be pretty good in the run-in + finals.

1. Gaz to steven (lock), then:
2. Walker to Parker/Lewis/Hall, or
3. Tucker to Castagna, or
4. Currie to Naismith

If you want to do two premium trades this week I'd go Gablett to Sidey and then Wingard to R.Gray. Although my preference in your case would be to go Gablett to Parker/Sloane and downgrade Cox to add to the kitty for next week for the Gray or Smith trade. Parker has the higher L3 average but Sloane has the higher L5 average and Parker has a 66 and a 98 in his last 5 scores to Sloanes' 5 tons(4 of them big ones).
Of course the other consideration is the cost, Parker $539K to Sloane $589K.

I've got the same dilemma with Ablett and Kerridge. Do I bring in Gaff and Hall now or a Sloane/Zerrett (still don't have him...) for Ablett and upgrade Kerridge next week?

I want to get in Sloane for Ablett and Z.Merrett for Kerridge. As I do not have all that much of a kitty and Ablett's price has gone down a good bit before his injury I will need to do this over two weeks. This week I can trade Ablett for Sloane, I have a kitty of $89K to cover the $68K difference and I can trade Currie for Naismith to give me an extra $125K for the next weeks' trade. I may need to downgrade Jacob Weitering to Reuben William as well next week as Kerridge has a BE of 115 and his value is likely to drop further.

Sold on Gaz > Sloane this week. Don't like paying top dollar for anyone but in his current form with that run coming up I can see him averaging 115-120 which would make his current price unders.

After making that call I worked out what upgrades I could afford over the next 3 weeks: Kerridge > Steven, Blakley > Neale, Mills > Hodge/Laird. A futile exercise as the chances of not having to make a forced trade is about 1 in 100, but if by some stroke of mercy from the DT gods there are no injuries or suspensions this will be my team before finals:

Shaw, Boyd, Simmo, Vince, Doch, Hodge (Laird if Hodge doesn't get DPP)
Danger, Rocky, Hanners, Sloane, Steven, Neale, Titch, Hunter
Goldy, Stef
Zerrett, Roo, Dusty, Hall, Monty, Gray

1. Gaz to steven (lock), then:
2. Walker to Parker/Lewis/Hall, or
3. Tucker to Castagna, or
4. Currie to Naismith

I am doing Harwood > Castagna this week.

I have Naismith, but in terms of the price the rookies will rise I dont think waiting a week for Naismith will loose much coin.

So I would rate 3 > 4.

2 would get you more points this week though.

Any chance of Hodge and Boyd being rested in Round 23? Old boys now.
Boyd yes a serious chance (it's in Perth I believe) but I wouldn't have thought Hodge will. He's had limited football this year and will need to get into the swing of things come finals. He'll be there until the end I reckon. Mitchell, Gibson, even Lewis (hopefully not) & co will be the ones at risk of being rested.

Hodge 0 chance. After his break, plus he did a mini pre-season when fit enough to come back in and not actually play I reckon he will be there until the end of the season barring injury. So I agree with Possum Vomit there.

Mitchell, Gibson, even Lewis (hopefully not) & co will be the ones at risk of being rested.

I have a feeling coaches might do it a bit smarter this year if they want a player to have a rest. ie. 1 every week for the final few rather then the "ross lyon"

Going to go for points - it's all about the ranking (which is currently poor).

Parker, Lewis, Hodge, Hall - which one? Thinking Parker based on ceiling but Hall tempting with the extra $

With the unfortunate injury to Ablett forcing me to make a sideways trade I'm doing what I've been regretting since day one which is to get Dangerfield don't care that I have two rookies and zaharakis but I cannot miss out anymore

Ablett > danger
Cox > Luke lowden

Its official. Dangers supreme scoring will seis this weekend :p

Petracca/Wells -> Danger and Shiel -> Clay Smith

Who should I hold? Wells is out injured but people are jumping off so he may end up being decently unique.

might as well hold wells, he will definitely avg higher than petracca and yeah he will be more unique now.

Should I go Ablett to Neale or Sidey.

Sidey would give me extra cash to upgrade to zerrett and dahlhouse in 2 weeks (Budget is slim at this stage), but i reckon neale will average slightly more.

Why is everyone in love with sidey. Yes he is cheap but the pies draw isnt that easy. If u dont have the cash go to hall cause suns have easier draw and with ablett out he should play more in the midfield and surely will outscore sidey. Pies have too many guns in the midfield as well and there is only soo much ball.

Fair call.
I already have Gaff and Hall I was just looking at other cheap premos.
Ive considered Sam Mitchell but I'm not too confident in his ability to score big given this season

ok if u have him already then thats a different story. Have u thought about robbie gray or boak who is cheaper. Also maybe a kennedy through dpp as he is dirt cheap
Now and easy draw coming up. Just orher options i would go instead of sidey. Last year he was good cause basically him and pendles but they have treolar this year as well so i think thats why they r both a little down in scoring.
