Trades Round 17 trades

Looking forward I can foresee:

This week: Waterman down, Burton up (Laird/Lloyd)
Next week: O-Mac down, Savage up (Laird/Lloyd)
Then: Joel Smith down, Ed Curnow up (Macrae)

And that assumes no injury sideways trades.
Then I hit the week of finals STILL WITH SAUCE JACOBS!!

But may be able to get him out with Ahern downgrade at that point (already have plenty of mid/fwd DPP so perhaps don't need him for cover at that point).

Do you guys think Fritsch is a must trade out this week? Realistically he'll go down in value but I'm not sure if it'll be by enough to justify missing out on Curnow > Gaff and say Rice > Laird. He did get 126 against the Bulldogs a month or so ago haha.

Edit: Hmm, I can't even do both of those trades. This game sucks sometimes.

At this very point Austin needs to be downgraded to someone - thinking Lynch but wondering if I should instead be targeting a 170k player and roll the dice with minimal/poor coverage in my defence. Thoughts would be appreciated. Or alternatively I get rid of Giro to a 170k player and leave Austin for now.

Any downgrade I make nets me enough to go Doedee to Laird which seems my most logical option as he is my last rookie BUT he is still making money and scoring well. Makes me wonder if I should instead 'downgrade' a Parker to Shuey which nets coin and is probably a similar output going forward OR upgrading Stef to Grundy. Any thoughts greatly appreciated

Ed Curnow has to go for me. Averaged like 80 since I brought him in! Fritsch survives another week but he has a nice matchup. Remember what happened last time everybody jumped off Fritta? ;) Will go next week though...

Looks like it's gonna be Ed Curnow > Matt Crouch and Ed Phillips > Dyson Heppell.

If Kade Simpson is an out then I'll likely have to bring in Rory Laird over Crouch.

Thinking of rolling the dice on Dusty and hoping he can avg 100 from here on.

Sauce to Grundy
Fritta to Dusty via DPP

Leaves my side looking like this:

Def: Laird, Yeo, Lloyd, Simmo, Brayshaw, Whit (Lynch, JSmith)
Mid: Titch, JKelly, Zorko, Zerrett, Cogs, Parker, Rocky, Dusty (Giro, Sier)
Ruc: Sauce, Grundy (Frampton, Cameron)
Fwd: Devon, Hoff, McLean, Sic Dawg, Heen, Wingard (Ahern, Ballard)

I am happy with my def, ruck and fwd lines and think all are pretty much the top players in each position. Midfield is quite shaky with Parker, Rocky and Dusty rounding it out. All 3 are not reliable tons every week. Really taking a gamble here with Dusty. Hoping he can at least increase in price so that I can upgrade one of those 3 guys to an uber premo (heard Crae goes alright)

Damn Roy has put my players in the rolling 22!!
Brayshaw in for Crisp
Jelwood in for Cogs
Beams in for GAJ
Sicily in for Langdon

I said last week I was scored off GAJ, and there you go!

Crouch or Beams gents? Ruled out Gaff, don't like paying a premium for players.

Also Neale out or Parker?

Based on the above, go Crouch haha. But I have Beams and really enjoying his consistent form !

Parker is less consistent. Neale has had 1 bad week.

I'm thinking about grabbing dusty as Bench cover soon

Settled on:

Stef > Grundy
L Murphy > Shuey

Think people who are going to Dusty this week might be going too early on him. Last time he played Adelaide he got a 127 and his only other 110 scores were against Carlton and Brisbane with his other ton against Collingwood who give up a stack of points. Every other team he's gone 93 or under against. Scores this season look like this:

Carlton 110
Adelaide 127
Hawthorn 67 (Top 8 contender)
Lions 111
Melbourne 73 (Top 8 contender)
Collingwood 101 (Top 8 contender)
Fremantle 93
North 48 (Top 8 contender)
West Coast 73 (Top 8 contender)
Saints 82
Bombers 93
Geelong 76 (Top 8 contender
Swans 90 (Top 8 contender)
Adelaide 114

Every team bar the Pies who he barely tonned up against, he's scored 90 or below with an average of 75.4 against top 8 contenders. That's actually below or close to par with what he's priced at, at the moment.

Next 7 games are:

GWS (Top 8 contender)
Saints (scored badly against them last time but should still probably go above 90 or ton up)
Pies (Top 8 contender but give up a lot of points)
Cats (Top 8 contender)
Gold Coast (should ton up)
Bombers (more restrictive in recent weeks)
Bulldogs (more restrictive in recent weeks)

Could probably go 4 out of 7 tons, but would be looking at 3 if he plays too much forward. He definitely is worth a look, but can't see him going 110 for the rest of the year, which is what you want from a top 8 mid
