Grundy isn’t injured

Has been dropped by calling it management is the nice way

Just odd to make him emergency that’s just saying your dropped isn’t it?

Not against replacing players but geez he has been pretty good, K Jack must have nude picks of horse

Dropped for being in excellent form?

There is no matchup. You don’t play someone just because. Who would Grundy play on? Bare in mind most of the GC forward line is out..

That’s the way I look at

Emergency is insulting

Yeah like just rest him or manage him. But emergency is pretty much saying he’s not in the best 22 without having the guts to say it

Will be interesting to see if Grundy plays NEAFL. If he does you could not unreasonably conclude he has been dropped.

You would assume that he is just being rested to be fresh for the rest of the season. If someone drops out of the 22, doesn't an emergency need to replace him? If so, I would imagine he is there just in case we need to name him for a late out.

Crossley and Wright are both match ups for Grundy if Horse was looking for them

Aliir being given more responsibility to see what contract we give him going forward could be a part of it

Why’s there suddenly no match up for Reg, 2 weeks ago there was

Also it’s the suns, who is there to play on

Maybe, but why do you rest a senior key player but name him as a backup plan?

Why though? I mean Grundy was playing well.

He was, but unfortunately it looks like the coaches may have decided that moving forward they want a quicker backline which is more versatile.

Not to be that guy, but it's true that I foreshadowed this in the first month of the season that I wasn't sure Grundy, despite still playing really well, would make it to finals in the seniors side. In the past few years Grundy would have absolutely been picked to play a team which included Crossley and Wright up forward. It tells me that the coaches have made a decision to go with a smaller back line which will include Aliir and Marsh (although I suspect strongly that Melican would be in for Marsh if fit atm).

This isn't resting anymore. He doesn't need two weeks of rest. Unfortunately, barring injuries, this could be it for Grundy.
