That would suggest Miller to Heeney. Interesting if so.
yeah and watch heeney stroll straight to the goal square

they legit dont have enough match ups for us. well, for heeney. no one can run with him for the whole game. I see touk going with him for a half then they break it, like they did with errol last year.

Nothing doing on the GC board. Feels like you could fit all their supporters in a phone box.
What would you like to know? It's not like crazy traffic is happening on this thread either (8 pages vs 4 pages) except the optimistic The King!

WFIW, contrary to Swans Suns will have a very young and inexperienced line-up due to 5 academy debutants this year (only North is younger this round).

Midfield battle should be exciting and as usual will probably decide the game. Dimma mentioned that Swans midfield is great but he believes Suns one is too. He will let the battle play out first. He usually does not tag but he did say that if Heeney gets off the leash there will be some plans put in place.

As of interest, when Miller was asked in podcast who impressed him most in competition, he did mention Gulden (working hard, great runner).

For Suns beside being a very young team, the main question is can they be consistent and implement a new plan over 4 quarters. They try to keep ball in forward half and put pressure on opposition ball movement causing turnovers.

Hoping Suns will bring similar effort from the last 2 games, but I do expect inconsistent performances in first half of the season. Love watching academy kids. They got some real talent and most are ready body wise except Read.

No win on the road for Suns so far. I hope they have a crack and make it a close game.

Coming off a bye doesn't help the page count.

In any case, I reckon your mids will towel us up, at least in centre clearances, though Adams is hopefully better for the run against the Eagles.

If we can keep King to only a couple, I think we'll be able to get the edge around the rest of the ground though.

People (mostly Victorians) bang on about the Academy kids you got via the national draft, but getting Clohesy back was good work, and Rowlands might end up being good value.

Not sure about Rowlands but yeah, Clohesy was unreal in his 2 games. I can't believe no other team drafted him before us in rookie draft especially when he got rising star award in VFL.

Similar to Clohesy, Graham was unbelievable in the middle. 14 tackles against Hawks.

Walter's speed and pressure is also impressive for his size.

All Suns fans are looking forward to watch Rogers degut. Great skills, speed.

Your the one calling easy wins most weeks

I said danger game 3 weeks in a row

Still not sure what your point is though? we didn't beat them by 10 goals last year so it can't happen this year ?

Thanks for this Jirik13 I’m really keen to know who your fastest players are. I like fast players.

It's interesting that we typically struggle against these midfields with the contested bulls in them, yet we seem to fair so well against Melbourne's quite often, and they're arguably the best of the lot in this regard.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the Max Gawn situation. Perhaps the fact it's the midfield most used to getting first service vs the midfield most used to the opposition getting first service tips things back to an even playing field.

If so, could be possible we could exploit this angle in the mids again against the Suns, as Witts gives their mids a lot of first use.
It feels illogical to suggest it, but it genuinely feels to me that we sometimes get surprised by some teams around the ball in the midfield.

That is unless they are focusing on that part of the game all week, then we get exposed. Whereas probably leading into a Melbourne game, it is all they talk about at training.

I don't think Suns have a lot of fast players, haha. But I am pretty sure you will enjoy watching Walter. He is like a wrecking ball with impressive speed.

Unfortunately, Rosas, probably our fastest player, and who started to play well, did a bad hamstring. Rogers got speed and should play similar pressure forward role. Clohesy got some speed too. Berry is kamikaze with speed putting pressure on opposition defence.

Always great entertainment to watch Andrew.

Rogers looked really good in the nationals last year. Re: Clohesy, I'm not sure us Swans fans put as much trust in the VFL Rising Star award after a certain Dean Towers won it pre-drafting, but he does seem like a good get.

Walter will be a wonderful player for the GoCo and the dominant forward in the comp. In 2025 King will be playing support act.

Graham has really come on since being drafted.

they're a finals team (yeah, i know, heard it all before) ...
yes, we should win but i believe this is the best suns team they've had

I like the suns and where they are going and what they have.

I just think we will be fired up after some ordinary footy
