He’s eaten too many Lamingtons.
Q: What does a Norf supporter call a chocolate-coated piece of rolled-up snot dipped in shredded coconut?

A: A Flemington ( one suburb over from Nth Melb)

Had a tear in my eye watching Richie getting chaired off. He's been through a lot with this club, 10 years later he's back in finals with us again. Great time for him to enjoy and be part of whatever this turns out to be.

Must admit, last night watching it live and again watching the replay, again last night, I couldn't believe Neale didn't pass the ball to Darcy Gardiner who was completely clear and open about 40m directly in front at the 30 second mark of this clip and instead looked like he was trying to bombed it to forward of the goal square.

Hopefully something is being done about our f50 entries. Seemed like every single one was a bomb into the pocket. Either no forward was leading or the kickers weren't lowering their eyes but it has happened a lot this season. Also, think GWS got like 10 goals or something from their 3 key forwards with an even contributing from all. Would be nice if that happened to us instead of relying on our smalls. Yes Hippy gets like 5 goals every now and then but McStay needs to get goals. Needs to step up

Thats the game plan, especially when our oppos entire game plan is to clog up our back-line with 18 players and to wait for us to turn it over or to hurt us on turn over.

Almost every time we went for a player on the lead or for a shallow entry it would transition like a pin ball.

We need to mix it up generally (and have been) but last night called for that strategy.

Some of the guys in our forward line weren't giving us much last night. Had no real KPF .Charlie, Linc a bit down ,Cam the usual.

Talked to a bloke in line who was at his first ever AFL game last night and absolutely loved it - will definitely be back he says. So good to see some new fans coming along.

Cool to see Fagan say something along the lines of "Im getting an idea of what it must have been like during the premiership years" - "only" 25K but due to gabba bowl design noise gets very loud.

You can tell when people are fleeing the Broncs to come to us when you can here the "Lets go (Lions) Let's go" chant ringing out from sections of GA.

Saw a few Broncos jumpers last night.

Farewell #BronxNation.

Really the first time that the Lions have had a great season at the same time that the Broncos have had an awful one.

Even during the Lions' premiership years, the Broncos always made the finals.

I've had a few games like that! Last night was an older lady who was watching the game live for the very first time, brought along by the other regulars further down the row - and a few games back was their neighbour, who they 'dragged along' - both loved every minute.

It's so good to see the game being shared among new people, not necessarily younger people, but still people who have never been to an AFL game. We're winning over Queenslanders who were never AFL supporters, and that is massive.

Ha ha I heard that chant as well.
That would explain it for sure and at the time I thought what the and then thought yeh that's new , all good.
The crowd was just going off with all three chants at one stage.

The angrier they get the sweeter it is for me personally.. whingeboner spirit.

They’ve had 2 of the games biggest stagers/divers of recent times in Lindsay Thomas and Ben Brown dont forget, the latter is still playing his trade.

Moving on from free kicks, last night we weren’t as clean as previous weeks except for Lyons who was super. They certainly brought the pressure and it was damp.

Two things are going to be key the next month and a bit: clean in the contest and converting. Do those 2 at a high level and I think we can do anything.
