Crazy good start, only one way to go from here.

Just quietly ROB would have to be THE best rookie priced player ever

Walsh is easily forgotten!! ROB has spent most of the season out of peoples teams or on their bench. Walsh is an out and out onfield premo week after week. But for surprise value and cheap initial price, true.

not at all

Walsh price increase $402k, ave 94.9

ROB price increase $474, ave 97.8

by no measure does Walsh beat him.

fwiw I traded Goldy to ROB in about Rd 3 I think and it's probably my greatest trade of all time.

Brilliant trade haha

Numbers wise it’s an interesting point. Certainly as r2 I agree, but at r3 he has been less useful after playing the r13 bye game. For which he is already my hero!!

I've got a little secret... I don't have Grundy and I haven't owned him all year!!!

Please dont judge me 😔
Yeah, well that changes things.

You did lose the "set and forget" aspect of Grundy. Also, the durability and the captain option, but really, it's not like he's been a bargain. Pretty much averaged and priced where he started.

For anybody who didn't start with him, Rd 8 was the time: he was priced (on the preseason magic number) at 109 and went 150 avge his next 3.

I started with English who was poor but still above his modest avge. Replaced him with Mumford who was ok but underwhelming and English then lifted as is often the way.

Thankfully Mummy got injured, brought in ROB. The plan was to seamlessly move him to Gawn in Rd 14; realised at that time that I had (far) bigger issues than ROB, so stuck with him.

Gawn gets injured. Worked out perfectly. Next move: who knows?

5/563. Stoked with that for a friday night.

Zerrett making a handy debut.

Smith 134 wouldve been gone from my side 3 weeks ago if not for me fixing injured premos with my last 6 trades.

In that time Smith has scored 90/84/133. Awesome.

Ditto Perryman 77/98
Worpel 105/88/118.

Theyve actually all held their own when they really couldve exposed me.

'Set and forget', meh. I made a decision between Grundy and Gawn at the start of the year. H2H that has cost me 288 points, but that doesn't take into account the player/s I was able to buy using the 63k I got taking Gawn. Well at least, thats what I tell myself!

Out of curiosity how many rookies is everyone fielding this week?

On Nokia 5.1 Plus using BigFooty.com mobile app
My weakest links on each line after getting rid of Lipinski and Brayspud over the last two weeks are:

Sheppard
O’Meara
Marshall
Worpel

Will look to do Sheppard to Whitfield next week.

I'll have to look at his match ups (RO'B) but my plan was to trade RO'B next week, move Marshall to Ruck, Daniel FWd, Whitfield to Def and trade in a premo mid....

With Gawn's BE of 154, he's going to get REALLY cheap though. Do you trust the Crows not to turn back to Sauce anyway? I feel like i can trust Gawn to keep the scoring up just a bit more, and soon he will be at round the same cost as ROB. I am getting Gawn and Whit next week, if Gawn has a normal game. ROB is a POD idea though. I dunno

I can't trade out Smith based on his role he played last night which means I can finally upgrade that spud shannon hurn. the most underwhelming 'premium' I've ever picked up. you are the weakest link, goodbye

Only 6 for me today.
12 in the 3 games tomorrow!!

Ranking came in to 3746 after last night, but will be pushed out a bit today I reckon!!

What about 97.8 on field??
Plus an extra 134 for having him captain last night???
😉

That's great for you this round, but most of the better teams have had Gawndy on-field all year.

Also, Gawn & Grundy will both probably still outscore him this round.

Tough one to work out. Did the cash I save by getting ROB over Gawn equate to more points in other areas to make up for Gawn’s extra 10ppg??

Hmm...I've had Gawndy from Rd1 and am ranked 2.8k. In hindsight you're probably right though, as last year I didn't even get Grundy until around Rd19 for instance and still finished top100. (Had Sinclair as R2 most of the year) guess it all depends on how well you use the extra cash...
