Weird feeling about the game. Shattered for Ashy, can be a cruel game. Umpiring was absolutely disgusting. Our pressure and clearance work was brilliant which should have lead to to 5/6 goal win. However you take any win over Geelong and enjoy it, they have so many unlikeable players. Fletch will be a star, always liked Cal and a reminder of why last night. Dunks is superstar, Harris and Payne are a great duo, I love Joe- one minute you shaking your head and next your on your feet. It’s an emotional game but once it’s hurting your team you need to control it- looking at you Dayne. Sign McKenna up for 5 years and do it now. Go lions.

We kicked 1 goal for every 6 inside 50s, the kicked 1 in 7. Both teams defended very well.

We also 9 goals 6 with 4 rushed. I suspect our expected score would be similar

We missed our standard 2 goal game from Bailey. Hopefully he's back next week.

How many times do opposition supporters say we’ve played our ‘grand final’ when we’ve won??

I swear we’ve played and won 8 grand finals this year.

Makes the win even better. We are still in with a big chance IMO. Daniher holding a premiership cup with elicit on of the biggest melts on BigFooty.

I think he'll be a pretty settled wing/forward moving forward.

He, Berry and Fletcher are a dynamic wing trio.
Berry? Are you serious. Had another absolute shocker last night.

We’re getting close to our best side, but still carrying a couple like Berry and Zorko which is going to cost us come finals time imo

I thought Berry was pretty good. And no way we keep the next highest scoring team to 1 goal in almost 3 quarters without our wingers playing their role

Berrys best role is run around with the oppositions best mid, but he can’t tackle at the moment. In the last quarter he was switched on to Danger and Danger almost single-handedly got them over the line with Berry nowhere near him.

When he gets the ball never looks, always bombs away to the opposition. Cost us turnover goals again

Yeah onball isn't his role at the moment. Can't expect someone to play a different role for a quarter every few months really well

And our whole midfield went to sleep in the last quarter and were absolutely abysmal (bar Dunkley)

Strongly disagree, Berry did a lot right last night. Was very diligent in his role.

terrible news

i think if there was ever a time for zorko to stand up its now - ill disciplined last night and our best young midfielder out for the year. hope fages gives him a rocket and a license to play more mid minutes. if he can wind the clock back like he did in 2021 it would be seriously awesome

Absolute shithouse news. Do we have him recover for an extra bit so he can fun out with Levi's first game or try to get him back next year?

Based on what we did with Hipwood and Rayner, we'll know when to get him on. He'll be super diligent in completing the recovery.

He'll be coming back mid-next year hopefully.

Should certainly return next year. 10-12 month recovery.

Hipwood was back quite early but didn’t really seem like his old self until the season after he returned. It’s a 10 month recovery and then another half season before things are back to normal.

Such a shit injury.
