People need to temper their expectations on Cox. He was in poor form prior to injury.

Kreuger has actually had more impact up forward than Cox in 2024. Cox at 211cm 110kg will naturally have the edge in the ruck.

I think Freddy's been pretty good - no world beater, but a solid player.

Yeah because the ball hasn’t been getting walked out of our forward 50 in recent times…

Jamie Elliott’s goal was as good as it was only because of how insipid our forward pressure has been all year.

I would roll the dice on Mcstay and Cox and play both of them,for structural reasons.Other clubs have had a history of rushing back stars against us,and succeeding,so I can’t see why we can’t do the same if they’re cleared to play.

Winning Ruck contests and getting first use far outweighs any advantage of Kreuger playing fwd IMO.

Cameron is our No.1 ruck.

He won the hit outs last week 64 - 22.

Kreuger lost the crucial one in the last QTR against Ess, when Draper punched the CB 20 metres to Shiel who then passed to Wright for a goal.
This was straight after HH goaled and we had momentum.
Cox would have halved that contest.

Not all HO’s matter - but we need to be competitive in the Ruck at all times.
Or we get killed per the example above.

Or more importantly we kill, as we saw with the Cox in crucial CB in the GF.

He does not have more tricks. Schultz can take pack marks and climb on backs when in form and has plenty of past highlights to prove it. Ginni can't jump over an ant.

It will be so exciting to hear of the return of Cox and McStay a week or two after our season has ended.

I’ll feel a bit more confident if we name Cox, McStay and Howe.

why can’t McStay play a half/ 3qtrs in the seniors? Reef is likely to be sub again anyway and will come on for him if they want to manage his minutes. It’s do or die this week id like to see it translate in to selection.

I’d like to see Cameron ‘rest’ forward of the ball when Cox is rucking. The weather is looking grim so we might be okay with a smaller forward line this weekend just a thought. Especially without Mihocek.
