The combination of Kayo giving me the press red for Jack Riewoldt Richmond commentary and the commentary unironically being shocked at how little Travis has played at the MCG ruined a decent game of footy

BZT has been better than expected

Finishing is poor and needs to finish better

Burgoyne probably half a step off it still

13.5 to 6.6 last half.

Really elite footy, but why is there so much crap in and around it?

So many embarrassing individual moments. Honestly maybe there's a heck of a lot of rust to shake off, but that doesn't excuse some of the lairising.

On the positive side, outside of the period where our entire game plan was faltering. There were some elite passages of ball movement and entry i50. The forward line was so much better in that last half it wasn't funny. Backline is still a huge issue but BZT has been a great find, really happy with him.

Ugly game but did enough in the end.

Usual suspects did well aka the midfield. Butters, Rozee, Drew, Wines all impactful at stages.

Soldo terrible first half, much better second half. Ditto Marshall, ditto Finlayson.

DBJ good.

Houston good.

Zerk-Thatcher good.

Burton atrocious. Farrell would want to be better than that too.

BZT shows his worth today.
Not the most gifted but gives it a red hot go.

He flogged Lynch. Tredders before the game talked about how Lynch can get hold of Port, thought the big Irishman Rat O'Gulea would go to him.

If Bassett was here, DBJ probably would have had the job.

Good:
  • Butters / Rozee / Drew
  • Farrell / Burton / Houston all provided good run off half back
  • BZT on Lynch
  • Marshall / Finlayson continued to get better as the game went on
  • DBJ
  • 2nd half accuracy
Bad:
  • First half accuracy
  • poor midfield defensive pressure
  • defending goals on transition
  • leaking goals in the last minute of a quarter
  • over targeting of Dixon
  • Aliir.. bit fumbly
  • Rioli??

Sloppy first quarter, lazy second quarter, then switched on after half time.

Big forwards had none between them at half time, then decided they'd better lead and ended up with 9.

Willy Drew and Butters were the firestatrers, Boak, Rozee and Wines followed. Maggie, Sav and AA all good, but opposition was poor.

Burton couldn't GAF; Jones' injury may save him from being listed as omitted, and Evans is not up to AFL standard.

Solid win away from home, albeit against a bottom 4 team, but no major injuries and everything going to plan. Melbourne will be a massive test; without May and Lever, we should win, but the midfield must be better.

Did not see that second half coming.
Should not be that surprised, first half shocking and couldn’t kick to save there life’s.
Still only 11 points down at half time playing that bad.
We upped the ante and started to slot goals instead of points in the second half.
I’d take a 5 goal win over Richmond at there home ground any day.
Yep we need to improve but if we get it all together we are a pretty good side.

How bad was that score review off DBJ's volley?

" I want to see if it hit the post"!

Was in by a metre. FMD.

All were poor in the first half. Burton is a lousy defender - I assume you need to tackle opposition close to you!

Farrell had a bad game - but was ok.

Ollie was ok but should do more.

Disapointed in Meads effort.

Burgoyne was ok.

Butters BOG.

we won.
