Supercoach Round 3 SC Talk - Round 3 Trades ,//, AFL Fantasy Round 2 AF Talk - Round 3 AF Trades
Injury?Sheldrick is NQR.
Won't be back in the side in a while.
Bice needs to be not a close checking HB , we need him deliveringTough week to predict changes but i suspect something like
Out: Melican (inj), Juzzy (Sus), Paton
In: Ladhams/McLean, Sheldrick, Cleary (Sub)
Tmac goes back to replace Melican. One of Ladhams/McLean replace Tmac forward and they can both ruck which helps with team structure. Sheldrick replaces Juzzy, but likely plays more inside with Florent most likely to play wing. Bice replaces Paton who has been average at best. Cleary to sub.
I think these are the logical moves, however my gut feeling says Cox will bring Francis back in to replace Melican and TMac will stay forward which im really not liking.
Shame, he could have got a game of golf in with Kizza and Pykey while he was home.Sheldrick is NQR.

McDonald? He's injured hence why he's not playing. And he's no defender.Leave Mccartin forward
His first q last week and the contest he makes no one does up front
Bring either McDonald or Francis in to team up with hamling
I think they may until Logan comes back. Not sold on T.McC as a forward, but believe they will persist a bit longer.
McDonald is in full training but should play 2s and from a cox interview they were gonna try him in defenceMcDonald? He's injured hence why he's not playing. And he's no defender.
Francis would be ok if we had a 3 person KPD unit of Melican McCartin and him, he could play on the 3rd tall and intercept.
Don't really want him having to play on Treacy or Amiss.
If McLean isn't ready to go, just play Ladhams or Buller, get them to bring it to ground where hopefully we'll have Campbell, Cleary, Corey and Hanily waiting.

The vests never lie.
One thing I would like us to improve on is having runners around the feet of players who win contested possessions outside 50. We take a contested mark or win a free kick on the wing, and the player in possession has no one going past for a quick receive. So they just end up kicking long to a pack.
McCartin for example copped it for taking too long to move the play on after his marks, but in his defence, our ground level players should be wanting to be at his feet and win the ball off him to get the play moving along. (Him ignoring Bice was a bad mistake though.)
Obviously good defences won't make it easy to have a guy like Blakey or Roberts or McInerney or Florent loose to run past and get the quick handball receive. But good teams find a way to make it happen so they can really capitalise on those contests won across the wing/half back.
Its also something Jmac "used" to do.This is one part of the game where we miss Gulden so much. He's always cruising past teammates who have taken a mark or been awarded a free.

So true. Our flankers and runners have to tap into Gulden's proactivity. They've gotta be on the move and challenging the opposition's defensive structures constantly. Gulden is obviously a freak who will be hard to replicate, but guys like Lloyd, Roberts, McInerney, Florent etc. have all got elite tanks now, so there's no excuse for them often being so stationary when a mark or a free kick gives them the chance for an attacking foray. Even someone like Wicks could add this to his game as he grows into his new role. This is one part of the game where we miss Gulden so much. McDonald is a few weeks away from playing at any level according to the club.McDonald is in full training but should play 2s and from a cox interview they were gonna try him in defence
Just saying what cox saidMcDonald is a few weeks away from playing at any level according to the club.
We tried him in defence unnecessarily. It didn't work and there's no need to keep trying.
Was it a double fister tho? Only then will we have the correct answerTmac punching in the bag drill… DEFENDER
You said to bring him or Francis into defence.Just saying what cox said
He seems to be in the training photos but probably limited training...I feel like he'd be a good defender from the little bits of playing there toward the end of last year in one or 2 matches where he was swung back out of necessity. He'd be an excellent intercept defender and he's not shabby on the groundLeave Mccartin forward

The problem is that most of the guys you just mentioned are also supposed to be looking after an opponent and Gulden wasn't. If someone like Roberts keeps peeling off his opponent then we would crucify him when the ball is rebounded and he is nowhere near him.So true.
