Tossing upbetween...

Ablett- 130 and 123 last 2 vs hawks

selwood-185 last time and dominated, they may tag him with shiels this time though

pendlebury-ordinary opponent, macdonald will go to swan, leaving pendles to roam free, but i was turned off by his stats last week.

shaw- against the lowly dees could do what hodge did only concern is it want go back there.

riewoldt- a gun but not sure if he will go much higher than 115 which the mids probably will...

leaning towards gaz

Finally a mention of Riewoldt. He has a great history against the Roos and looks to be in great form throughout the preseason and into round 1.

I don't think Riewoldt is captains material for this week. I think he might get double teamed now that Kozi is suspended. Still might score well, but would recommend Swan, Ablett, ect

Pendlebury. Should have a big game against the Dees, smashed it in against them last time and needs to bounce back a bit from the weekend.

I want to pick pendles. Scored like 150 last time he played them but the couple of times before that including rd2 last year he went terrible. I would think McDonald would go to him not swan? Mitchell managed 112 but collingwood dont go through pendlebury as much as hawthorn go through mitchell. Bartel hasnt gone that well against hawthorn recently though and without kozi riewoldt is risky even though it could result in him scoring massively.

Toss up between Bartel, Selwood and Boyd. Probably go with Bartel though.

Trying to decide between Swan & Stanton. Probably go Swan considering the opposition this weekend.

I'd thought Crowley would go to Watson and Ibbotson possibly go to Stanton. In other words, Stanton it is.
With Stantons form, and how good he was last week, I wouldn't be surprised if Crowley went onto him.

I wouldn't take the risk, because if Crowley does tag him, then you're screwed.

Montagna, with Greenwood out of the side the Roos lack a true midfield tagger although Rawlings will probably play in that role. Regardless i think Dal Santo and possibly even Hayes will be tagged first and Montagna will rebound from just an average week against the Swans. For the record I predict 8 Saints to score over 100 this round.

Stanton goes around getting cheap kicks regardless, I know it sounds like I am trying to make myself believe he will still do well, but I thought Stanton didn't even make the best for Essendon last week.

Heath Shaw. :thumbsu:
Yeah nahh..had his one-off monster score for the season. Now he just cops the tag everyone else gets. 70 average from here on ?:D

Riewoldt usually takes a little while to work into the season so i'll wait a few weeks just in case...looks sharp tho and does like the Roos with 120, 114, 128 last 3 games tho. Not yet but would be a solid choice.
Bartel for me.

Neither was Jobe Watson. He was alot more damaging than Watson on the weekend.

So, ah hem,... you don`t have him him in your team and you hope he halves his score from now on ...good luck buddy!

I`m sticking with Gablett - I paid the cash FFS:)

Shouldn't have read this thread!
Swan was locked in and will prob stay.
Reading this reminded me of the Ablett and Selwood record against the Hawks and with Shaw likely to be ignored by Melb?
Me thinks I shouldn't be thinking bout this....
Swan, definitely Swan.
