Has Taranto won anyone else over? Playing pure midfield in the team that scores the most fantasy points, listed as a forward, priced at about an average of 65, he goes and scores 112 from 32 touches on the weekend. He's coming into my team this week.

Got Taranto at F5... not sure if he'll keep up his current scoring, but even an average of 85 would mean good cash generation.

Good get, I have him in a draft comp and pretty happy with the selection. Only worry I have is Scully and Hopper returning to the side and what that will do with his role. Seems to be an accumulator though which is great for us DT folk

Scored 2388 and ranked 6th overall. A great start that can only decline from here.

The only player im concerned about in my team ATM is Christensen. I dont like any rookies at a cheaper price so have to go up. Having a look at some uniques in Taranto, Acres or some solid stedfast types in Devon Smith/T.Greene.

For me to find this money id have to drop Treloar down to Fyfe or Jaegar.

So:
Fyfe + Taranto
Jaegar + Greene
Jaegar + D.Smith

I do like Jack Martin and Westhoff just dont think i should be taking risk with GC/Port players

Hard to see Scully impacting him too much. Very different players and play very different roles, Hopper is the one i have a slight concern over. Surely he has gone past Hopper though?

Which rookie do people see as more important to go after out of English and Zuthrie?

I have the luxury this week to spend my trades on getting either one of them in but I can only afford to get the one unfortunately and I thought both looked good. I would assume English has more scope for making money which I see as imperative at this point in the year. But Zuthrie would sure up a defence spot with Taylor going down and the potential that Murphy won't make the cut this week

You would think so but I believe Hopper is rated fairly highly internally. Food for thought I guess

Does Fyfe not performing against Port worry you at all though? Surely there are some better premiums at that price which you can look at. Perhaps JPK or Jack Steven?

Just saw your team, wow you have done well. I reckon Christensen to Taranto and Treloar to a forward/defender premium like say Hurley or Greene, or Brayshaw to a basement priced guy could work.
I've traded in Nathan Brown to get Taranto this week...... possibly the worst trade imaginable.

This is my team, I don't know how to go screenshots of it (my team's name is Ants in my eyes Johnson):

Backline: Yeo, Sicily, Lloyd, Doedee, Murphy, Finlayson, Naughton, Coffield

Midfield: Mitchell, Cripps, Parker, Neale, Coniglio, JOM, Brayshaw, Holman, Dow, LDU

Rucks: Gawn, Naitanui, Cameron, Flynn

Forwardline: Billings, Petracca, Hogan, D Smith, Christensen, Fritsch, Venables, Stephenson

Lack of play from my ruck bench and Coffield has me worried, although surely Coffield gets a crack right? Thinking of swapping Dow and LDU for Kelly and Fogharty from Geelong. Have 87k in the bank.

Just a heads up that Rice played a much better scratchie than Coffield did on the weekend so would say unlikely for this week

Only a little. A tag and flogging vs Port. He does struggle to get enough tackles and marks these days whilst he handballs alot more aswell.

Theyre out of my price range just.

Steven tags worry me
JPK wasnt really any better than fyfe really

Yeh i dont know about that. Cash generation is so important to be able to get those 800k mids in

However i love Taranto my thinking around Fyfe was at worst hed avg 95 over the next 2 rounds

Any suggestions fellas? A lot will depend on rookie selection this week as I think cash generation will be my primary focus. I'm going to hold Zerrett this week assuming he's name (which is looking likely) as I think he can bounce back this week against Freo who he averages 118 against. Hopefully he can become a bit of a POD this week with lots jumping off.

One trade I am considering is Treloar > Cripps, I don't generally like to sideways premiums unless for injuries but I don't have much else to do. Treloar has a slightly tougher run coming up, whereas Cripps has GCS, Collingwood, North, WCE and Bullies.

This cash will then allow me to trade Venables up to Ryan, as I feel Venables JS could be shaky going into Sunday teams as well. If anyone thinks Venables is safe please let me know.

If I don't go ahead with the above trades I've also been considering Naughton > Zuthrie, not sure what other moves to make.

I'm starting with $42k worth of free cash.

Venables will be safe and playing. I feel we will try and get as many games as we can into him. No point dropping him after one game, that would be counter productive. He will be better for the run.

Also, dont know I would waste the trade from Venables to Ryan, just seems not enough bang for the buck, could you upgrade one of your D4 or D5 instead?

Brilliant - Well done champ!

Thanks man, good to know on Venables :) Don't really have the cash to do much with D4/5. Can't think of much aside from bringing in Guthrie or sideways trading a premium to try and maximise points.

Venners will get better. Just needs time. Few very poor passes to him on Sunday night led to either him being tackled without getting clean possession or him scrambling to get the ball off the deck. Few of those work out better for him and it means he is around the 45 point mark rather than 33 or whatever it was. Although our mids disposal outside a few is atrocious so not so sure this will actually improve

All good, not so much the score that concerns me, just the JS. So I'm happy as long as he's getting games :) If he can lift the scoring though that's a bonus!

He is class, just needs to get into the swing of things with the big boys and will get given every opportunity

Should I go, Trelly > Jaeger, Rayner > Taranto?

Not much wrong with Trelly it's just I want Taranto early before he gets too pricey and Jaeger will generate some cash... Plus Taranto is going into F5, already have Tracca in F4.

Or I could fix rookies, Rayner > Fritch, Banfield/Brayshaw/Dow > Barry.

I would keep treloar, so the other one.

I'm looking at getting rid of LDU, probably for T Kelly. I tossed up between him and a few others and decided that he got a reasonable amount of the ball in JLT and that would be fine coming into the season. But I expected a bit more than 27...

Could also go Naughton to Guthrie but unsure of his JS
