Tried to be too cute and picked hogan as a POD do i hold or do i just go straight to someone like a taranto?
I have him too. I always thought he'd have a tough game first up playing against Geelong, and Blicavs is actually a quality defender. I thought he did well to go from about 25 halfway through the 3rd quarter to 68 in the end. You'd be crazy to trade him with a game against Brisbane this week. I still think he goes 85+ this year.

Ahh they play brissy yeah ill probably hold

In before Harris Andrews towels him up :)

Has Taranto won anyone else over? Playing pure midfield in the team that scores the most fantasy points, listed as a forward, priced at about an average of 65, he goes and scores 112 from 32 touches on the weekend. He's coming into my team this week.

Agreed

Has some juicy fixtures coming up. I decided to pick him over Taranto so kicking myself a little but I am going to hold strong as he is almost a guarantee to increase his average in the short term

I am a big fan and think i flagged he could be the Clayton Oliver of this year, of course i didn't have the guts to start with him and went Weitering instead... I hate myself.

What do people think of dropping Weitering to a rookie (Coffield if he gets named would be great) and upgrading Rayner to Taranto? It is just swapping where i have the mid pricer and i think it is an upgrade in scoring potential in both positions.

Would love some opinions on that trade.

Solid trade. Could always go Zach Guthrie instead of Coffield as well

I like Taranto, but I'm wary and will give him another week to see how he goes. As Shadow said GWS scores on the weekend were ott. Also, how will Hopper coming in impact his role?

Yeah that's sort of where I'm at. I'm looking at maybe doing the same and just letting my absolute POD in Duncan go for the week instead of Titch, so I can see how Gibbs goes and then bring back Duncan in a couple of weeks once his BE evens out. At the moment he has a BE of 125 which is the highest in my team, and I see him going about 110 this week. Gibbs has a BE of 107 but I see him going about 130 or so, so that's another avenue I'm looking at. My safe trade is to just go down from Lobb to Z Guthrie (if I want the 200K) or Bonner with DPP so I can have Fritsch on field, but I'm just looking at all the options before I do any of that.
I was going to ask you about Duncan haha. You convinced me about him in the preseason but I was concerned that he hardly attended centre bounces on the weekend. I saw Tim Kelly more around the ball than Duncan! Now with Danger coming back, could Duncan get even less ball? One thing I loved was Duncan’s marking game, especially his 12 point plays haha. Concerned he won’t be able to do that every week, especially with more high pressure sides like Hawks, Swans. Really want to keep Duncan as a POD but he could be a way to get to Gibbs or Coniglio. I think I’ll trade him or Treloar this week for some cash generation

Scully also to come in. Not sure if he will get the same kind of mid time unfortunately but you never know.

Haha we're definitely in the same mindset then. He's a bit like Lloyd, can play wing, defence, mid and just rack up marks and +12's pretty quickly. Also started out his career as a half forward, so kicks goals when needed too. For me Dunc is a guaranteed 105-110 every week, regardless of what happens, as his average has just gotten better every year and he's that classy outside ball user who we want the ball to be in the hands of as much as possible. His BE at the start of the year was what bothered me, but I still went with him as I knew I'd get my safe 110 out of him first up. Now that it's up to 125, it's a no brainer to go to Coniglio for a couple of weeks, given that Duncan would need a 160 at least, to generate the same amount of cash that Cogs will if he goes 105. Cogs will probably go up 50K and Dunc will probably go down about 30K, which is just good business. He'll be back in my side Round 4 when we have our first home game against the Saints, where he should explode at home. If I work things right and I let the right guys go, I should be able to get Duncan back as my next premo mid, as well as keeping Cogs.

Where's the best place to check for breakevens these days? Footywire don't seem to be doing it anymore. I'm too stingy to pay the 20 bucks.
Happy to let you or anyone else here know any that you're looking at :) I paid the 20 bucks early on in the pre-season because I thought I might see if it was worth it for once, so I have the info for anyone who needs that extra info!

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. I reckon Taranto goes back to that half forward role and Scully plays more of that wing/mid role. They did also play Scully forward last year, so that's always a possibility too. I'm giving Taranto another week, along with Young, just to see how they go.

What’s the consensus with Zerritt? Hold or?
I've made the decision to trade him to Coniglio.
Makes me enough cash to trade Rayner to Bonner via Scicily so I will be using the $100k I had left at lockout to add a good 50 points a week.
Even if Zerrett plays I think he'll maybe score 110 so why not trade to a playyer that can do the same
