Likely - I don't think so.

If Carlton can lose to us by 10 goals their gonna get smashed by more than us in the last 3 games.
You don't think they'll rally a little? I don't think Melbourne will beat them by as much as we did. I think that Adelaide and Hawthorn will beat us by more than what Carlton will be beaten by.

Ok, likely is a stretch. 50/50 I reckon.

Edit: Also yes what James said.

Is it lost on some that given our run across the last 3 weeks we can and are in fact likely to finish last on percentage anyway?
Even so. It's a bit ridiculous to be so invested in Schache at this point. It's beyond silly.

If we'd won a game earlier in the season and lost last night we'd still be in the same position...

Once again. 'The one game where it's actually matters' - the one game where it's right in front of your eyes, where it can effect your enjoyment.

You are actually fun to argue with, you help me make my point as we go, by arguing the point I am trying to make back to me.

You did it on a couple of other threads lately too.

Maybe our new found confidence will help us.

You're the king of the one-game extrapolation.

They nearly beat Collingwood last week!

How about 19 games then? We're ahead of them and it's more likely to stay that way then not.

So you're saying it's 3% more likely that Carlton get the spoon?

That might be accurate.

More likely than not. As I said.

So I don't see an issue when looking forward to post season assuming we finish 17th.

Probably been pointed out already but Liam Dawson is becoming a great field kick.

Low flat and hard kicks that appear to be risky but usually come off.

Nice to see another academy product seeming to come into his own at the same time that Freeman and Andrews are putting it together.

He has a pretty kicking action too.

No homo.

Just wanna say how impressed I was with Johnno Freeman. That was twice the game as the 4 goal/pies effort. Could have had 2 more if our delivery was better. Imposing, leads well, strong hands & good finisher. Hugely influential inn how he straightened us up after his early efforts - the team changed when they knew they had a real target. Or so it seemed on the gigglebox - was it the same live?

Loved his work in close/below the knees, and the way he ran back later in the game to provide a link when we needed it.

Now I am cooling on Dixon, and dont see SChache as essential. Johnno in the square & Weitering/Andrews/Hipwood up the ground will do me icely.

Don't disagree but depth in a forward line with pressure coming from reserves is priceless too

Freeman has quite a lot of work to do, especially fitness wise, so that he can provide much more consistent performances over the duration of games. He did well kicking 3 last night though.

Amazing what a win can do on this board. I'm not reading the usual negativity and self hating comments from the members like what is wrong with the game plan?, Leppas days are numbered, McStay McStay grrr..., and the club will go the way of Fitzroy etc. Lets see what next week brings?

My votes went to Rich, as good as Robbo was Rich did so much damage with that left foot and set the game up for us. Christenson, Martin and Freeman rounded out my picks.

Great to see Trent West back out there, didn't have a big game but he will be better for the run.

With Close back next year and possibly Schache with Freeman, a lot of talent and potential next year in the forward line. Not to forget Green, Bundy and Cork swooping at their feet.
I agree, Cork will be able to plug a number of holes for us next year.

I'm surprised by this. I have watched him through the junior ranks and his kicking was fairly average but seeing him weight the kicks to targets up the field is great. So the Lions aren't that bad at developing players at all it seems.

Cian is an unknown quantity and suspect a couple of years away from really knowing. McGrath on the other hand looked ok to me before doing his foot.

Leppa is a massive fan of McGrath. Could have pushed Zorko out of the side in the early party of the year but for his injury.
