Worsfold was a disgace in his post match presser, inferring that they didn't play as well as they have been and that's why they lost. With a bit of luck, (Poppy's kick at goal marked on the line by Saad, Harry and Jack's touched goals, and two advantage play-on calls) they margin could have been closer to five goals.

Not sure about all the time, more a response to not having good picks. Geelong have done well in picking up Kelly mature age 24 year old this year. There are certainly good players with later picks (see stratton), probably more suitable to another thread, but just could not help replying when saw the message "not good picks". Everyone tries to look for the obvious, pay overs to secure a guy on very lengthy contract. No one is denying Mitchell has been a great pickup. The argument with most is do you bottom out and go to the draft or as we have done and Geelong trade for ready made players, as others have said we are probably just one good midfielder away from competing with best, so that is where that comment was made.

1. Just watched the replay: whoever said Eddie’s commentary was “contrived” was being too nice. I feel so sorry for those interstate supporters who have to listen to this rubbish every week.

2. Seeing it on TV gets you close in on Shaun Burgoyne: he puts himself in the middle in big moments. If he stays fit, he’s playing on.

3. So the other games this weekend all featured wins by 2 or 3 points. We smashed these bastards by 4 points! Suffer that you ******, worst loss for the weekend.

I think that the most obvious free kick not given (instead a charity goal to Essendon) was the last one. The mark by Hooker in the goal square. The block on Frawley was blatant (other player with back to play and arm around Frawley and at the last moment holding a limp hand in the air as if he was going for the ball.
Wilful blindness by 3 umpires.
