Wonder if we will contemplate dropping a Battle or Marshall and change the structure slightly and go smaller.
Obviously no Bruce or McCartin available and not a whole lot of other options. So don't see it happening.

I don't see Goddard coming in to play forward.

Paton may be an option to play as a small forward, seems to be tackling well which is valued.
Weller with 3 kicks on the weekend is close to omission.

Unfortunately the Dogs only have one key fwd in Schache so we can't play all of Carlisle, Brown and Goddard. Even if Gilbert is dropped a small def would probably replace him.

If Savage has done his hammy, it would be great to see Paton come in and play Savage's role. Or Newnes could go back again and Paton could spend time on the wing as Newnes did last week.

Webster for Gilbert considering Dogs don't have two big forwards?

*May not include Ben Brown or Jesse Hogan… oh and Lance Franklin, Tom Lynch, etc etc

Which gun will he blanket this week given the dogs have kicked 11 goals in their last two games?

Schache who is going at 1 goal per match?
Brown is done stoppers dont exist anymore. Surely a player like sam collins would be a better stop gap at this stage.

The thing about Paton is that not only has he played through hff, hbf, wing and mid in U18's, he's pretty much done the same at Sandy. Last week he played mid, hb and hf.

If Savage has done his hamstring he'd be a perfect replacement. The only problem you will have with him is to keep him "outside" at the contests. I watched last weeks replay closely and he won a heap of contested possessions.

Out Weller, Savage, Dunstan & Gilbert

In Rice, Paton, Freeman & Webster

Wow so happy for Freezer . Hope he has a blinder but I’m happy he is just going to play after 5 long years for the kid . Anyone else going to the game ? I will be there cheering every touch he gets .

Knowing Richo and the selectors it will be -

In - Freezer
Out - Coffield

or something similar

I'm tipping Acres out. The "can't drop a player after 1 bad game rule" doesn't apply to Blake... hope I'm wrong.
