(I think) if he kicked the ball after the siren then the defender touching it would have made it a dead ball and thus no score. But Jezza kicked it before the siren sounded so the ball was in play until it stopped.

Don't know if this got answered as i was away but act of spoil doesnt' stop a behind regardless of siren.
