This quarter showed why we need a gorilla fullback.

Great effort and intent so far.

We are being more physical but then Blues are obviously much stronger bodies , breaking most tackles against us which is hurting.

Many wasteful inside 50’s by us, could’ve made more of the opportunities.

Carlton are the most average good team in the afl. I like the move of day as the loose in the back half to hopefully limit a clean run for mckay v sicily. We need barass.

Happy enough with that. Newcombe, Nash and Moore our best. Everything Dear touches turns to gold.

A lot to work with.

This looks like one of those games where we are a little over-coached. We are getting it to 60/70m out and stopping to think, and getting it wrong from there. Looks like a plan to take their defensive marking out of it.

Some massive efforts from our guys that qtr. Hope we can keep it up because they will.

Happy with that on balance.
Harder at the contest and they have had some luck/polish rebounding on some poor choices.
Physically, we are all over them.
Once the game breaks in space they can't keep up.
If we have are close at the half I reckon we break them in the last half.
If our skills drop off whilst they're still up an about in the next we could be in trouble as they are playing through sic opponent in the air.

I think the break has come at a good time so we can mentally reset. Just need to fix up how we bring it into i50. Keep up the tackle pressure and most importantly make the most of our chances this quarter.

Interesting game.

Our transition is killing them. They can’t defend it and if we hadn’t been so wasteful we would have been more up.

Conversely, their attack on turnover is very dangerous as our backline is vulnerable. Sicily is getting exposed.

We’ve been a lot more physical than them for little reward. Hopefully that changes.

Newk, Day and Moore have been good. Backline has been ordinary so far. Chol and Dear looking dangerous.

At least we have contained Weitering and Walsh early.
