I f@rking give up!

I tried to hold the tide from smashing down the wall (my sc team) for as long as I could but this is just too much for anyone. :(

Don't even know why I bother playing this stupid campaigner of a game for sometimes.... :'(

Well you are getting closer to the 50k every year.
Just minor refinements and the glory is yours... can see you winning the whole thing multiple years' running when it clicks. ;)

Having a glance at the rankings I wondered where Judd_Magic would be if he had Grundy instead of Nank all year...

Current Points with Nank: 47,198.
With Grundy: 47,926.
That would have JM in 35th place overall.

It's interesting the difference a couple of players could make.

Also the leader is in strife... obviously no trades with Sicily and Gaff on the bench and now Kelly and Walters out.

He'd be ranked #1 if he did that + started with Lloyd instead of Savage.

Haha, you blokes really know how to pick a bloke up when he's down lol.
Always really interesting though, those sliding doors ones where a single decision where you zigged instead of zagged makes such a difference.

Like when I benched Cripps the week he scored 173 for Hogan's 60 because BF?

Rd 14 last year I had the C on Danger vs Freo and thought I’d go the next level shark move and switch to Selwood literally 30 seconds before the game, sensing a chance to leapfrog a few if Danger shat the bed.
Settle in to watch the game, still patting myself on the back for my tactical genius only to see Joely talking to potplants and confusing the trainer for his old aunt Gertrude, Danger goes on to rack up 150-odd.
Rd 15 rolls along and I double down by spurning Danger against GWS thinking there’s no way he’s topping that, and wanted to salvage some pride and get something back for being prepared to take a risk the week before.
Nek minnit he double-tons or thereabouts.
Whole thing cost me about 220 points from memory. VC’d Danger wherever possible thereafter, but the damage was done.
Pride comes before a fall, there are smart risks and there’s stubborn idiocy. Happens to us all.
Yours was different, was a Chinese Whispers thing, that is really rough.

in hindsight my team from round 1 had some real turds

The good
Laird
Doedee
Murray
Cripps
Neale
Coniglio
T Kelly
Gawn
Smith
Sicily
Finlayson
Banfield
Holman
Fritsch
English

The bad
Savage
J Kelly
Goldstein
Curnow
Ballenden
Barry
Garlett

The fugly
Mcdonald
Naughton
LDSpew
Daniher
Billings
Petracca
Brayshaw

Expensive rookies and midpricers completely ****ed me.

In one of my early SC seasons I knocked back a 155 VC score and put the C on Buddy against North because he had scored 236 against them the previous year. He scored 57 :$

Man I hope you're right.

I am already planning for next years team and have a rough team written down on notepad on my laptops desktop. LOL! :p

Under that is a list of potential players I am considering (long list)

Yeah I gotta work out a strategy next year that leaves me with a few trades at least when finals approach. I have never been good at that! :$

I wonder if this is making it easier on him or not? :D

Thanks kenties, you sure know how to make me feel better. LOL! :p

Yep tons of sliding dooors moments for me.

Who could have seen Grundy having the season he was going to have especially with the Buckley talk that Cox was going to be a regular.

Hardly anyone would of started Grundy so I wasn't alone. Unfortunately for me Nank never got injured early so I never had a legit excuse to trade him out to Grundy as I was always concentrating on upgrading other parts of my team instead.

With Savage well I had my reasons for picking him. Killed it during the pre season and no Montagna. I thought he would finally be the main man out of defense but boy was I wrong. Never thought bloody Webster would ruin those ideas.

Plus Lloyd was pretty bloody average in the second half of last after he got knocked out so I thought he wasn't a "must have" to start with.

F@rked up both those decisions and it cost me big time in terms of points.

Need to be a Nostradamus when playing supercoach at times.....

How the f**k does someone miss 3 weeks with a corked thigh?

Given that both Howe (frisbee) and his club (De Goey) have previously told fibs about their injuries it could be a euphemism for something more serious, or embarrassing. He could have a perforated anoos for all we know.
