Stiff for DGB to get dropped after his best game as a FWD. Thought he performed well against a tough opponent in Jones.

Ryan needs to play though.

I sense another win incoming.

If we get this, it will be the first time we've won 3 games in a row since July 2022.

Setting us up to potentially win 4 in a row (in a single season) for the first time since August 2018. (We won our last 3 in 2019 and first game in 2020)

With two rounds to go I wouldn’t mind us trying it to get a feeling if it works. Only ‘immobile’ one is Ryan.
Lever and May (and Gawn) are very hard to get past. We always seem to kick it straight to them.

If the game plan is to bomb long to 4 talls... we will get slaughtered.

We need fast, precise ball movement. Use the angles. Keep possession.

I would leave Sticks out. Bring back Mackenzie.

In - Ryan, Mitchell
Out - Wingard, B MacDonald (too many errors)

DGB stays for mine, can play back
Weddle as sub as he is starting to look tired
Not to mention that Kelly Underwood couldn't tell the difference between him and Weddle. Hope he gets another chance though.

I like these changes. We missed Ryan although Kozi stepped up I have to admit.

I really like Ryan but no way DGB goes out for him - played his role well and deserves to stay in the side for the rest of the season. Ryan is no a brainer for a contract extension into 2024 - probably at the expense of Greene
Ryan should come in for Lewis. We know Lewis is a no brainer..........

DGB still might be a top 3 kick in our team. He doesn't get the footy as much as you'd like, but the difference between his disposal inside 50 and some of our other players probably won us that game. Two Goal Assists (That's worth four goals now) and some good attack to bring the ball to ground set up enough scores to keep him in the side. He did all that on Liam Jones as well, imagine if he gets to take the third or fourth tallest defender.

He is a beautiful kick.

Plus dropped two marks he should've taken

Buts for Chad.
DGB stays. We've seen enough of Ryan to know he has a future in the B&G
Butler has not set BH games on fire but Bennetts has, i am all for putting Chad on LTI and upgrading Bennetts so he has a taste of AFL and get ready for next yr. Can even put CJ on LTI.

If Weddle needs a break, that would be another change & BMac gets into 22 or shammy comes in.

Maybe Vando, Lewis up high like vs Pies does he drag Lever with him? , get DGB to work on his defensive forward skills. Ryan deep vs May Bruest at his feet. Kozi leading. Be fun to see.

He needs to improve his ball handling. He is a bit fumbly. However, that will probably come with time. Overall he is looking promising in the forward half.

Playing DGB down back would be the worst thing for him. He'd be better off going back to the VFL and continuing his fwd development.
Really? Exposure to senior footy would be the worst thing for him? I think he could become a good swing man. He will also be able to work on his forward craft at Box Hill come finals.

I think I'd like to see DGB in our forward line, this week, as opposed Ryan. A bit scrappier from DGB to make the Demon's backs work hard. Though either of them is fine. Not room for both.

Also would like another small in for The Chad. Bennetts or Greene. Whoever has been giving greater forward pressure.

Would have said Brockman, but I'm not sure on the vibe I'm getting from him. Reckon he's homeward bound and not going as hard as he can.

Ryan comes in for mine. He could take May to the goal square and with his long lanky arms could really give may a headache.
Lewis to play high up the ground at CHF roaming at will as lever doesn't like leaving D50 to take intercept marks so have kozi doubling back to lever when in transition. I really like to see that set up and it works best with Ryan more than Denver.

He's just starting to build form and momentum playing fwd... so yes, i would say switching back into the backline would be detrimental. Give the kid some continuity to work on his leading patterns, growing his confidence etc etc. He looked happier and far more consistently engaged/involved on the weekend than i've ever seen of him
