Got a bad feeling. Look what they did in the GF last year. They are a big game team.

This will take a monumental effort.

I'm all over the place. Can't decide if I should start coming to terms with the disappointment now or try to get hyped.

If people are still not sure whether a Lyin coached team has had a better/improved season than say last year, tonight will be a key indicator.

Last season when finals were on the line, we showed zero fight to get the job done, pressure was down generally and we limped to the finishing line with a shitty percentage to boot.

Tonight however, if we can show effort in trying to get the jib done, if not actually.gettong the job done, then I think we have our verdict.

I checked the stays hoping that Marvel is a poor stadium for the Cats, unfortunately it's one of their best, and our best too, so should be interesting.

I still think we'll get it done and a e5 year Hawkins with a dodgy hammy doesn't worry me and Rohan, who's one of those guys that gives them a spark, being missing is a plus, along with Stanley.

Saints by 4 in the end.

This is basically an elimination final as I don't like our chances of winning next week, hopefully we play with the intensity and desperation of a final.

Geelong obviously have a lot more finals experience than us but at least we have a coach with a lot of finals experience and I have more faith in RTB being able to get us up and firing for this game than I would if we still had Ratten or Richo coaching us.

Let's see if this team has grown a pair under Ross. Last 5 years every season defying game we have absolutely sh!t the bed big time with our pea heart effort and the way we have crumbled under pressure.

We will find out a lot on who our real leaders are tonight when everything is on the line.
Except the final we won.

I've seen a few Saints supporters in town. All look the same.

Like they're about to go to war

Hopefully our supporters make a lot more noise tonight than the Geelong supporters, make it sound like a proper home game like they do in Geelong.

"Why not have both .GIF"

That’s exactly how it works, but

Except they are not the same team as last year. They’re 11th for a reason. We beat them last year when they were travelling better. If we bring our best tonight we can knock them off.

It's funny how you forget how much you really hate a team until the round when you play them comes around.
* I really hate Geelong.
I thought my hate would lessen once Hawkins retires, but they've got Jeremy Cameron and Zach Touhy and both of them annoy me just as much as Hawkins, so I guess it'll continue.

Yeah we've all been demoralized in the last 10 years by our performances in big/marquee games. It's time to finally put that crap to bed. No bigger opportunity than tonight against the reigning premiers. I'm as apprehensive as all sh.it about the outcome and the fallout if we win or lose. In my mind's eye I can envisage both possibilities.

To use one of Lyon's oft used expressions, let's leave 'nothing on the table' tonight. At least I could live with that.

Begin well, four quarters of pressure and f'kn kick straight and we'll get the result we all crave. Anything less.....
