Has been the same for 5 weeks. Players under pressure because of sides defending us with a midfield press knowing that they do not have to worry about the aerial factor.
The total lack of marking power allows sides to defend us in a way that we are under pressure all the time . We have to try and thread the needle coming out of the back half or play on with no forward targets.
What we are seeing is the direct result of being very poor at marking down the line and having a plan B get out .
The skill errors have come into the game as sides have simply defending hard 50 to 80 meters in front of the footy. Giving us less options. We have to play slow as we do not have the space to lead up and take the short twenty meter passes we where taking earlier in the year .
It forces risky kicks or down the line kicks .

We must look elsewhere.

100%. And it’s been the big issue the past 5 or 6 weeks, and the reason why our inside 50 conversion has been atrocious. We continually bomb on Wright’s head expecting him to kick 7, but the fact is - he’s not good enough.

And if Brad Scott can’t see this, he needs to go ASAP as well to be perfectly honest.
