Some of the comments you'd think some are surprised we are being well beaten by a genuine premiership contender.

I think we've actually been alright, it's a slog but if we keep hanging around it can turn. Just don't want to get blown out, anything that can mess with our heads may hurt us in a couple weeks, we're still pretty mentally soft.

Panic ball movement we are better than this

Hill will never get it in his head to use first option will he
Very frustrating. Gets there and then tries to take on too much. Quick handball or tap forward was all he needed to do.

Getting a thorough audit at a very difficult venue - realistically had a bit of Mission Impossible about it.

Hanging on by the fingernails.

Fagan has done a very good job breaking down our game plan.

More interested in the second half to see which players stand up to a top 4 team

It's happening on both sides. It's just a shit game, been heavily contested for the most part.

Midfield and high forwards are getting absolutley flogged. They all should get an absolute rocket at 1/2 time pathetic.

We are lucky not to be 45 points down, only their poor kicking making the score reasonable.

We cant get it out of our defensive 50, Brisbane marking everything. If they dont mark they win it on the ground.

Hayes is no good. Missing King big time!

Hayes is fine enough in isolation, just well off the pace at present first game back.

On positive side, our defense is making it hard for them, and they're rushing a bit to try and jump us on transition. Essentially everything else is panicked nonsense, they're just where we should be, they have autonomy and we're just there on that field, they've had the ground and every chain we've tried has been met with a wall that we struggle through as just don't have enough going both ways to support it.

Thankfully Brissie haven't taken their chances yet, so hope we hold, maybe snag 2-3 in response for a 3-5 goal loss, just yeah unlike the Blues game, this game is gapped.

Against a team who’s been a top 4 side for 4 years and they haven’t lost at home all year, always going to be tough, stuck it out lads

We aren't a contender this year, but we can see what Lyon is trying to get out of the team.
Have slowed the game down, taken the crowd put of it, defending back well and across the ground.
The structure is being put in place. We are actually further ahead than I thought we would be.
Once we get the attacking players Lyon wants, we will have more Richmond/Geelong type games against top four teams.

Brisbane playing us beautifully. McInerney on top in the middle. They’re clogging up our rebounding channels and we don’t have enough class by foot to short kick all the way to the forward 50.

Need Sharman to do a little bit more on offense. Hill is in a funk. Gresh and Crouch need to hit all their kicks if we’re going to win this.

Negative Highlights

Brad Hill as his softest best.
Jack Steele at his invisible best (this years form)
Greshams got a few looks at the ball mainly because in my opinion the opposition don't respect him with his poor disposal.
Midfield being carried by Crouch who is a lone act

Positives

Defence holding up well
Not giving them good looks
Really like Cordy and Windhagers games (again)
Like when Stocker gets the ball. I would throw him in the middle and roll the dice.
