1. CMac, CJ, DGB and Newk were huge that quarter
2. Frost is doing very well on McKay
3. Nash does a lot right as a mid
4. Are these umpires for real? No hold for Gunston when they pay everything for McKay and Curnow
5. Carlton look out on their feet. If we get a couple early we could run over the top of them.

Can’t fault the intent, it’s been massive.
Am loving our kamikaze approach, keep moving and get it into the corridor.
We don’t have the skill set yet to always execute and we can be massively exposed when we don’t but I love our approach.

After a shocking first quarter we've kept them to 3 goals in a half of footy. (and kicked 6 ourselves)

That's a really awesome turnaround.

That sums it up.

I also agree with the earlier posters bemoaning our luck during the last few years — bad umpiring and early season-ending injuries have really set us back at times when we don't have the depth to cover. We have missed McEvoy hugely today, and Scrimshaw is best 22.

However, it seems the effort today has been admirable. And the attitude to continue fighting back, despite a seven-goal deficit.

Go Hawks.

Huge lift all round, but was still expecting more from Gunner and Lewis today. They almost seem like they're playing hurt?

The style of play with heavy rotations, small lineup and endurance runners should make for a good last quarter team.

Ward and McDonald great to watch and the defense has been magnificent after being pantsed early.

Go hawks.
