This won't be a belting. We are not a high scoring team.

There would have to be a complete meltdown of the Freo backline for us to take a 10-12 goal win. And our forward line albeit very efficient, it hasn't delivered high scoreboards for months.

It dont mean to sound patronising or cocky. (The team's aren't even in) but stick in there this year Freo fans! Footy sucks sometimes but you just have to believe that it's all leading to something good

And to Ross Lyon= play the kids or leave you strange strange man!
You remind me of the Port supporter who last week assured me Robbie Gray was unlikely to do much given his interrupted preseason. He finished with 30 touches and 6 goals...

You're underestimating both your own team and our potential to fold like a house of cards.

Guys I reckon this is going to be a hell of a lot closer than what you think. Only 7 games ago you pumped us over there, which was three games before we then won our flag. You've got Fyfe back since then. You've been our hoodoo side for a fair while. I can tell you that most Bulldogs supporters aren't anywhere near as confident. You've copped two beltings and you'll be frothing at the bit to beat us knowing that you beat us not that long ago. No Morris or Roughead for us. I cant wait to see Fyfe vs Bontempelli. Fyfe's an absolute gun and the Bont is getting closer to Fyfe status.

post should be reported for being too nice, encouraging and unrealistic.

sorry for the intrusion but whats up with Blakely?
is he injured or just out of form?
was played in Freo's equivalent of no man's land/black hole at HF. That's of course where you put one of your best young inside mids :drunk:

btw: do you avenge crumpet faces? if so, our board may be in trouble.

I'm not sure if you're trying to make us supporters feel better, but we're pretty realistic over here and from what we've seen over the past season + 2 rounds, we're in for a good ol' fashioned floggin'. No point trying to paint a pretty picture, our defence is a shambles, our forward line is non existent, our midfield is still finding form and the likely players coming in have little to no experience; Bulldogs by plenty (100 points).

The risk of playing some young players and have them loss is a minor. But the confidence boost they could get from a win against the premiers could be massive.

Nobody tell them they are resting players.

This is rediculous I am honestly more nervous about the team selection than I am about Saturday's game.

Footy is unpredictable enough that I'll always believe that this week could be different. And if not, I can sit through another flogging, I can pick out the positives, the what ifs and the gonna be's, over a few beers and it won't ruin my weekend any.

But could there be only one or two changes? Could a couple of younger players make way instead of the 30+ brigade? (or Suban )

All public opinion says no not this time. But I'm worried, just a little.

Ok.... just so you know where I'm at:
I will melt if their are any less than 3 changes.
I will melt if Suban doesn't get dropped.
I will melt if Blakely gets dropped.
I will melt if one of Balic or Logue does not debut.
I will melt if Griffin is still in the squad.
I will be amazed if I don't have anything to melt about tomorrow afternoon.

There will be 3 changes
Suban will stay
Blakely will get dropped
Balic should debut not sure about Logue
Griffin will get one more shot
You will have melts in certain things.... That's is realistic

Despite our heavy losses, I have found positives

+1 for all these, although I am adding a melt if we continue playing Dawson. Dropping him is the precise catalyst we need for starting to build an effective back line, and therefore more important than any other selection decision imo. If it doesn't happen today I'll melt and then if it doesn't happen the following week post the Dogs obliterating us I may need the rest of the season to vent.
