Because he can run and kick? A bit like Jeremy McGovern isn't a true KPD? ;)
We're playing the Bulldogs. You don't need the Dawson/Collins mould................whatever that is.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to talk him down. I've just always thought of him as more of a running defender who will eventually move into the midfield moreso than a KPD. And judging by his comments, I would say Lyon does as well.

Good point...but what are the umps going to do???? They can't pay frees to your mob and they can't pay them to us either! Expect a game with almost no free kicks I guess.

All the best for Saturday and the rest of the season guys and gals. And look after Joel Hamling please - he's a gun bloke, very popular with his former team mates and is a Premiership hero. :D We'll always love Joel and we wish him well with your mob.

Why can't they pay them to you? Last time we played you the free kick count was something like 24-4 in WB favour.

Wow that's ballsy to go into the game with only Hamling and Johnson as the kpds

I would have thought it's what we should have been doing all along. 3 tall defenders seems like too many.

True, but only I think if the midfield is putting enough defensive pressure on. Hamling and Johnson aren't good enough to deal with the likes Kennedy and Franklin with the ball coming in as often as it is.

Then again, I guess Dawson wasn't adding much in that regards anyway :s

Love the realisation in the last sentence :) All defenders are pretty rubbish without pressure applied up field.

Tipped 1 debut, said I'd be blown away by two. Finally a real shakeup, best scenario we could've hoped for and it appears the wheel is finally turning. Tucker out would be disappointing but the ins alone make it a positive move.
I wasn't disappointed if Tucker was dropped provided it was another young guy that will replace him. Balic and Logue coming in with tucker omitted is fine. As I said, wouldn't mind Giving a debut to a player once a week for the next 4-5 weeks.

Bit surprised it'd be Tucker and not Blakely to be honest, I don't want either dropped but thought Tucker showed a bit more.

He certainly seems to have 'RTB-favourite' written all over him

Just as there has been a lot of publicity about the frees paid to WA teams at home, we have copped a lot of publicity about our positive free kick ratio. The umps will be criticised no matter who wins the free kick count...maybe they'll put the whistle away completely.

Ok.... just so you know where I'm at:
I will melt if their are any less than 3 changes.
I will melt if Suban doesn't get dropped.
I will melt if Blakely gets dropped.
I will melt if one of Balic or Logue does not debut.
I will melt if Griffin is still in the squad.
I will be amazed if I don't have anything to melt about tomorrow afternoon.
Be surprised!!!!

I was hoping for at least 4 changes and expecting 3, so to have 6 is unbelievable and should send a clear message to the playing group. Would have liked Tucker to remain in the side, but I'm sure wuth his professionalism and dedication, he will dominate at Peel and force his way back in. Will be interesting to see how the others omitted perform at Peel.

My first time going to Cockburn facilities and got 6 changes , should go more if I want changes .

Interesting that we're going in with just 1 ruck and 2 key forwards.

And by interesting I mean "shit". Expect McCarthy to be double teamed all day just as Pavlich was when we played a 4 man forward line. Taberner should be playing, end of.
