Would drop Reeves for Wingard. Liked how we went smaller against the Roos. Reeves has been pretty poor. Meek can ruck solo, with Nash going in there to give him a rest. Otherwise if we are so sold on 2 ruckman, prefer Lynch over Reeves.
Reeves looked good.

He competed and got up for a fair few marks, took a couple and looked good as a hit out ruck again.

Meek on the other hand was horrific.

Safe to say I nailed it last week
Looking at our gameplan is so interesting, especially after David king had a look at it on AFL360.

No team, or player can consistently do what we are trying to.

It’s trying to be “perfect football.”

The fact isn’t that we are using the corridor, it’s the usage rate, and the way we use it. You’ve gotta spread the ground and then open it up, unless it’s 100% on, you need to spread first majority of the time.

Makes it hard for our defenders with such quick ball movement coming back, and our forwardline structure is non existent because they see it coming on a wing and setup for that, and then they try go corridor, or they’ll dink it 20m because they don’t trust the deep forwards.

It’s nothing to do with our capabilities, we need to play to the game plan Sam wants, which isn’t what we are playing now and I can almost guarantee that.

Spreading the ground, using the width, picking zones, and then using the corridor.

We are only going corridor now and we are being complacent.

Fitness isn’t an issue either, we just need to learn to run for each other and run both ways.

Again, it’s not overly difficult, and we’ll see wins and we will see this change sooner rather than later.

And for me it’s about adaptability.

At my club from a player who played vfl, we have amber which is general play, you spread & play footy where you’re given it, slow it down and break down the zone or go quick if given the chance.

Green is go time and is run, dash, things you’d do when you realise the time is right, late in a quarter where you’re down and need to score, but it’s very adaptable.

Red light is just chipping it around and spreading the zones, it’s super important and everyone is capable of it.

It’s basics. Every club would have something similar implemented. Just think our team is too focused on green because that’s where all the talk is and that’s the “good” Sam would be talking about. It’s Sams and the leaders job to get back to having a multiple paced game style, and adaptability.

Everyone is capable.

With no Box Hill form I can’t see it happening but would like to see Lynch get a run with our lack of key forwards. He has the best forward prowess out of our three rucks, not convinced Meek offers more than Lynch at this point.

Would also prefer Butler come in before Chad. My mate bought his son a jumper with number 20 when Chad came across, pretty sure his kid has worn it more than Chad has.

He tried to do the same in the GF too, can’t remember the Swannie in question but man is a sniper
It worked in the GF. Stewart had no impact on the result it was the rest of the team that did the job. There not in great form so far this year and I feel they will need Stewart's influence to gain clear ascendancy ATM. We shut him down to a degree it will give us an opportunity to test them.

I can't see us dropping Meek or Reeves for some time. Both have shown enough in stages, it's all about building the synergy and confidence of the two and we will go a long way as a result. Plus our clearances have been great so they both deserve some credit for that area of our game.

Wingard seems a likely inclusion but calf tightness can be hard to judge so may see us take a cautious approach to his return.

Wingard still a test according to the latest injury report.

🤔

So he didn’t train fully last Thursday (as opposed to what was posted here), and he pulled out because his calf was no good at full tilt.

Might as well keep the same 23 we had last week.

He did train fully and at the end of the intra he spoke to the staff to say he wasn't quite right

So does Kosi get another run now that the ball movement is better? Or was he part of the problem?
Maybe not have the guys getting use to playing without a KPF so when Lewis comes back in it doesn't disrupt the team?

Morris to Box Hill for some match fitness? Or does the rehab these days mean he could come in straight away on reduced minutes?

Kosi is apart of the issue, mentioned it to mates but we just don't trust him, for the first two games we wouldn't kick it long when we needed to (we did v North despite being shorter) first two weeks we tried to do small dinky kicks instead, and it was clear because they didn't trust our forwardline, and clearly Kosi is the one who's missed out.

We still do, Greene is playing as a mobile CHF and we have a resting ruck deep fwd with Meek (or Reeves).

Morris def plays Box Hill.

I’m just pointing out the facts.

You just don’t like the fact it’s directed at you who said it was “interesting” that he trained fully (when he actually didn’t).

Feel free to delete the post if you don’t like it.

You’re pointing out alternative facts.

You said he was never going to play. I said that he trained fully. Fourpillars goes to every training he can, but you’re telling him he’s wrong.
