Can’t stand it when oppo players waltz around with no pressure…

It’s like we’re the only team that lets it happen.

Think we'll never be comfortable with team defence until we've got our back 6 on the park, including Ridley, Reid. Lav isn't up to it and Heppell is a liability.

We also need to stop kidding ourselves and realise that we should play the kids. If we're gonna get smashed then at least it'd be worth it if we were blooding games into Caddy, Tsatas and Reid.

Draper to the 2's.

The problem with talking about the “edge” and committing to be hard at the contest for 4 quarters, is the assessment when we don’t play that way

We did for 1.25 quarters. Since then, some of the efforts have been downright embarrassing. Not too many to hold their head up.

If ever there was a wake up moment, this needs to be it. If they keep going the same old same old, then damn them all to hell.

Yeh Nic nat was a terrible footballer like Draper. But he made up for it with elite ruck work. Draper doesn’t have that
Draper has had some great ruck games (and some terrible) like nic Nat did early in his career. We haven't structured our game to cover his deficiencies (like Richmond did for Martin). Draper might develop into an elite ruck (or might not). Harsh to compare a player at the end of his career to one closer to his start than his end

i think the lack of genuine pace is what consistently hurts us week in week out
That combo of speed, ball use and toughness that port have through the middle is really showing us up.

I don’t know how we go from the capabilities of Parish, Merrett, Perkins, Caldwell and Setterfield to anything approaching Butters, Boak, Rozee and Drew without moving on a few. Tsatas will help but we definitely need more.

No he hasn’t. He’s a half decent centre bounce ruck, around the ground he’s average as.

We look a long way off tonight but a few more games and we shpuld get to see more roberts, caddy, byran, tsatas and what else we have.

We have a bit if deadwood on the list and in our best 22 and if there's one positive results like this mean Scott has to get a bit more adventurous at selection.

Didn't see our current mid range approach resulting in finals success anytime soon anyway. So some poor results .might be a good wake up.
That's a very positive, unemotional take, given the circumstances. But I'm just not convinced we'll see anything adventurous, just more of the same. If the last two rounds of last year weren't a wake up call, I don't know what is.
