The Hawks will be licking their wounds after being overrun by the Saints in the last quarter of their round 4 clash. They face up to the fast-starting Geelong, who will be keen to bounce back from a loss to the Giants on their home deck but who maybe without Patrick Dangerfield through suspension. The Hawks and Cats traditionally produce closely fought matches but with the Hawks having an injury list as long as your arm, there's a fair chance that some of our supporters could find themselves donning the brown and gold on match day.

I saw Glass was doing a fair amount of inside work for BHH - then he had to sit the game out too.

By the last Q, Had gone into preservation mode and just had BHH guys contesting centre bounces

Brand in for Frawley.
Wouldn't surprise if Mirra was out for Jaeger.

Cats only have the fat boy and Ratugolea as their talls. Sicily will take one, Brand the other.

Really hope Stratts gets up.

Any hope of Shiels or Silk getting up for this?

Howe must stay in to tag one of Danger or Duckwood.

Too early for Kosi too?

Pretty sure Glass went off with an injury and they showed him with ice on his knee. Leg got twisted up in a tackle. Looked pretty sire coming off.

It’s been a while since I’ve gone into a Geelong game completely devoid of confidence.

But they have a stacked midfield with many rotations against O’Meara, Worpel and Cousins (and the latter might not be fully fit). Our ruck advantage has not exposed teams it has meant to expose. We’ll likely be missing Frawley/Stratton, which means that one of Hawkins/Dangerfield/Ablett can get off the chain. They’ve also flooded their forwardline with pressure forwards, it won’t be easy to waltz out of there.

Our forwardline looks dangerous on paper, but as we saw vs St. Kilda they aren’t guaranteed to fire. Additionally, our inability to take a contested mark will play into the hands of Taylor/Blicavs/Stewart. They’ve always shown the ability to gobble up our attempts at the long bomb, even when we had prime Franklin/Roughy.

Head says Cats easily but heart says, with some big efforts, we can prevail.

Early predictions are it will be wet. Geelongs big bodies on the inside might tear us apart.
Brand in Chip, not sure who goes out for Jaeger as Howe will be required to tag either, Duckwood or Kelly.

Not overly confident but this fixture rarely disappoints.
Hopefully the MRO rubs the grub Dangerfield out and my confidence will grow

Usually pretty confident, but feel this week, we are going to getting smashed. Don’t want Mirra in the team or Ceglar. Both are not up to it. I would even contemplate playing Kosi. Throw him in the deep end. Think he will do alright.
