God dam it Ebert. Had a chance to put us infront, misses, St Kilda go down and kick a goal. Had a chance to bring us back to within 4 points, misses again. Our most dangerous forward who is just kicking points all game.

Saints forward structure looks compromised without Reiwolt. They've kicked two from outside 50m on the rebound.

Westhoff needs to get into the game. We have enough of the ball.
Would love to see P. Stewart have a go up forward - there's 'plenty of inside 50.

Watching the game from overseas.

Like the intensity and tackling pressure although a couple of times when we've backed off, they've scored easy running goals.

Hartlett has been enormous. Rodan and Cassisi very good. Chad came into it a bit that quarter - must have got a rocket at quarter time for his indecision and indiscipline.

Tredrea is on the verge of returning to the SANFL - gives us so little these days. Doesn't even hold the ball in, unlike Schulz.

But the story of the half has been Brett Ebert's inaccuracy. He's led beautifully and has been hit on the chest several times especially by Hartlett. But his errant kicking for goal has basically cost us the lead. A decision now needs to be made on whether he provides more in his role than Salter or Pettigrew. Equally, with Westhoff and Tredrea so inefficient, we need to look at turning some of these guys over to get more goal conversion.

Brogan is having a belter. He looks more confident with Lobbe around the place to back him up.

Hartlett is just all class - gee we have missed him the last few weeks in particular.

Surj is pantsing Milne.

Schneider is killing us (he's kicked 3 of the Saints 4). Logan needs to tighten up on him.

Halftime thoughts:

Ebert has to be replaced by salter (who can kick). I reckon after each of his misses the Saints have gone down the other end and kicked a goal. Is soul destroying.
Tredrea, sorry big man, but you are struggling, hoping for a better second half.
Logan, goes hard, but coughs up ball and sometimes looks like he is running in treacle.
Hoff, not much except for a missed sitter.

Key notes:

Our defense looks so much better without Krakouer.

Hartlett is a gun. So happy that he's playing on the wing... absolutely perfect role for him.

Lobbe is 10x better than Westhoff, Trengove, Cloke combined in the ruck.

Sorry folks he must stay in the team ...
we need his hardness and attack on the ball.

I wouldn't trade him for anyone not in the current 22.


Saints only have 1 mark inside their forward 50.
