Assuming the non-mention of Lewis in the Gab's tweet that he's a test for this week, and will need to get through training.

Otherwise he'd bundle him in their Punky in the tweet.

We wait patiently for the detailed injury report from the club.
Hawthorn key forward Mitch Lewis will be a test to play ahead of his side's match against North Melbourne on Sunday.

Lewis has missed the last fortnight after injuring his hamstring following the club's Easter Monday clash with Geelong before facing a seperate issue with his knee.

Hawthorn High Performance Manager Peter Burge said Lewis needed to complete a final training block on Friday in order to be available for selection.

"Mitch increased his training at the end of last week," Burge said.

"His hamstring is absolutely fine, but we've just been managing a niggle with his knee which is improving.

"He will participate in some training tomorrow (Wednesday), and our main session is on Friday so we've still got the full week to run, but it's moving in the right direction."

Mitch seems to have knee niggles every year. They can be very difficult to play with depending on the type of niggle as it impacts a large amount of your movement and power. Being a key forward, if he can't get that agility off the mark to get a metre on his opponent then it really makes him ineffectual.

I'd hope the club are making sure he's 100% before putting him back in the side.

From the VFL report - Harry Morrison (21 disposals, seven tackles, six marks, five clearances).

Harry is in the starting 22 this week, for mine. Those stats in a side that also copped a beating show that he at least kept putting in all game. We need that kind of endeavour on Sunday - get him in to lead by example.

I thought Serong was clearly our best player, I'd expect him to get a game this week.
Gunston didn't do a lot, but used it beautifully most of the time he had it. He'll be picked on his record against North and the fact we are at Marvel.
Morrison was decent, nothing more, but let's face it, not too many decent Hawks at AFL level last week.
Wouldn't imagine any other player would be considered from the BHH team last week, the effort wasn't a lot better than the AFL team

I thought Gunston was our best. Kicked 2.2 which could have easily been 4.0, whilst playing much of the game in defence.

He's into his third season. There are countless examples of high draft picks around pick 7 that have just flown past him in the same time frame or shorter.
There’s also McAsey (delisted), Thilthorpe, Pedlar, Cox, Erasmus, Sinn, Hobbes, Chesser, Tsatas, etc none of whom have gone past Ward and are in fact well short of his output.

Can training watches let us know what group Weddle trains in, it would be good to see him play midfield or even forward for parts with Serong hopefully in. Apart from Day he is our most exciting player

Gunston has to play. Lewis also.
I'd give Nash a run at box Hill and one of Huss, Macdonald or Butler to make way.
With butler, I'd put him deep frwd for a bit and see if he has the smarts to outplay his opponent inside fifty with a bit of space. Maybe that tactic will tell us more about whether butts has any tricks we can tick off. Did absolute zero eff all in both games. Disappointing.

Honestly, if Sam wanted to make a statement he'd drop Sicily.

He's been bloody terrible this year - does not look like he gives a flying proverbial.

Won't happen, but I'd applaud Mitchell if it did.

If the skipper can't be arsed why would a sub 50 game player?

The rot starts at the top sadly.

Sicily has been a fantastic player for years - still is when in form - there must be a reason why he's decided to down tools this season. There has to be.
Firstly the guy is being played as a KPD which is not his role. It's no secret that his strength has always been as an intercepting back that peels off his man which the team can't allow him to do atm because of the season ending injury to Blanck.

Second the guy has clearly being playing lame which is more than likely due to the fact that he's being played as a KPD and there just unfortunately isn't anyone else to fill the void.

Yes his form has looked terrible this season but to say that he looks disinterested is ridiculous.

Has nothing to do with being the best but putting in an effort. At least you know Morrison isn’t going to look disinterested in doing the hard stuff if he’s picked.

Of all of the negatives from the last game, the standout NUMBER ONE was the ZERO RESPONSE from ANY HAWTHORN PLAYER when Ginni was blatantly pushed in the back and flattened in the first quarter. This set the tone for the game as Hawthorn players became spectators. Just look at the tackle stats. This was deplorable and embarrassing and is the NUMBER ONE THING THAT MUST CHANGE come Sunday. Football's basic, most fundamental aspect is going hard at the ball and protecting your teammate around the contest.
This is what supporters at least expect from the players.

Complete contrast with the response in the VFL game when Bennetts was dumped tackled.

So Ward’s 2024 season (his third) has fallen significantly behind Merret 2016 season (his third).

No point looking backwards.
If there is no point in looking backwards, you can only look forward. Seeing that the future has happened you can't make any statements about performance.

Next time when you try and correct someone, just make sure of it. Otherwise you are just left trying to save face with Mumbo jumbo.

What on earth are you talking about? You compared Merrett's third season (when he was 21) with Josh Ward's second season (when he was 20). Then you made the stupid statement about "not looking back", which you were trying to do in your first post to make a point.

Ins: Hustwaite, Lewis
Outs: Nash, Ramsden

Back everyone else in and get a response.
There will be more changes than that. Perhaps even some surprising ones.
