Back at the G thank goodness! Haven’t won there yet this year so that needs to change. Port are formidable so will be tough. Especially if we can’t play more than a half of footy.

The bye comes at a good time now after this block of 5 games. First 4 ridiculously close together.

I’d be resting Pendles
If it s ribs, he could use a little longer to let them heal.

Otherwise probably no changes
And if Pendles rested, then I’d bring Markov back in. Shuffle things a little.

Nick definitely in the midfield and Markov half back.

If Pendles right though, I’d play him still.

did you see Markov in the 2nds last week?

No I didn’t watch it.
But it’s two different things. Some players do better at AFL level. I’d be giving him another chance.
Markov should not come back soon. Poor at AFL level this season and didn't show much in the VFL

I know what changes I’d make but it won’t happen

Out: Pendlebury (in), Sidebottom (omitted)

In: Fin, Sullivan

What’s most likely to happen

No change

Or Pendles injured and one of Fin or Sullivan in
It’s a dress rehearsal for Fin and Sully against Carlton in the VFL. Richards and Harrison, too.

At this stage, Harrison is more likely than Sullivan.

Cox is not getting dropped for one poor game, he was in our Top 10 players against Brisbane. He is important for structure until Begg or Steene are ready.
Begg won’t be ready unless we’re in some sort of injury crisis. He’s cut at the end of the year pending some major turnaround.

Steene is still too raw to cope against AFL bodies.

Out: a player with over 200 games

In: a player with less than 10 games like Harrison…

Will be a few veterans retiring at years end. The preparation for that needs to be done this year imo
If Geelong marched off the cliff last year with the retirement of veterans, at least they had developed some. Now, we need to develop kids, too.

Get rid of noble
Turnovers
Frees
A disgrace
Dropping him in. The finals won us a flag.
Absolutely reckless brainless
Watch the replays
Been happening every time with pressure.
Ok in good going
Pressure he crumbles panic fear....
Don't waste time.....
Maynard not far behind in turnovers
Watch the replay...
Watch the replay.
The pressure they create on other players..
Watch the disposal efficiency....
Disgraceful
This costs goals
They were hard to get after half time ...
That is why noble got dropped for the finals
All low scoring games
We missed a bullet

I agree on the reason Noble lost his spot last year

But the issue is, he’s actually been mostly good this season. Better than the majority of our defenders

Cox is not getting dropped for one poor game, he was in our Top 10 players against Brisbane. He is important for structure until Begg or Steene are ready.

The problem with Cox is that after the ruck, his next most effective position is the interchange bench. He has turned into a pumpkin forward. He hasn't kicked a goal this year, and worst still, he's flying competing with the other forwards, making it easy for the defenders to spoil the ball.
